A few years ago

I slowly walked inside the hospital, today is my mother's checkup for my baby sister. At first, I don't like the idea of having a sibling but my mom said that I can be the one who can protect my little sis if she ever gets into trouble. I felt empowered and strive to do the best I can to protect my little sis and my Mom.

I played with my action figures as I waited for my Mom to return until I saw a teenager in a doctor's outfit sitting right next to me. I assumed that he works here but I also got confused about why, so I asked.

"Hey Mister, aren't you a little bit too young to be working here?" I asked.

The teenager turned in my direction and laughed.

"I get that a lot, but trust me when I say that I am a doctor here." he replied with a warm smile.

"Wow!!" I exclaimed in amazement. I can't believe someone so young can be a doctor.

"Why are you here for, anyway?" The teen asked.

"My mom's having her checkup and she said I could stay here for a while." I replied. "By the way, My name is Takahashi Ryota, what's yours?"

"Izuku Midorya." The teen doctor replied.

"Nice to meet you, Doctor Midorya." I smiled and he smiled back.

"What's your quirk?" He suddenly asked.

I smiled and jumped on my chair, took a balloon out of my pocket, and showed him what I can do.

I took a deep breath and blew into the balloon making it float up in the air.

"Wow." Doctor Midorya gasped.

"I can do more than that, but I need to be good at science to be good at my quirk." I said.

"Don't worry, you can do anything if you put your mind to it." Doctor Midorya said.

I smiled and then asked him what his quirk is.

"You see, I'm quirkless." Doctor Midorya said. "But that didn't stop me from doing what I wanted to do".

"Helping those who are in need."

"Just like a hero." I smiled at him.

"Yeah, just like a hero." Doctor Midorya smiled back.

That is just the first among many chats I had with him. He's really kind-hearted.

"Doctor Izuku!!!" I called and ran up to him at our spot in the hospital.

"Hello there, Ryota." He smiled.

"I learned something new!" I exclaimed cheerfully.

I took the plastic cup I'm holding this entire time and blow it on it and soon enough water filled the cup.

"That's amazing, Ryota." Doctor Izuku clapped his hands.

------

"Doctor Izuku, I want to become a hero and protect my mom and little sister." I said.

"You'll be a great hero one day, I'm sure of it." Doctor Izuku smiled.

------

"You seem to be very close with Doctor Midorya." My mom said.

"Doctor Izuku is the best!!" I shouted.

------

"My inspiration is Doctor Izuku Midorya. He's a very young doctor that works in the very same hospital mt mom has her checkups. He may be quirkless but he's a hero to me because he saves and helps people and one day I want to be a hero just like that." I said in front of my class.

------

"Hey, Ryota let me show you something." Doctor Izuku said.

I walked closer to him, trying to guess what is he hiding behind his back.

"Here." Doctor Izuku gave me a notebook. I took it and opened it. It has my name on it and my quirk. It also includes the stuff I can do with my quirk that I showed Doctor Izuku too.

"I used to store things in my notebook when I was a kid. You can use that to track your accomplishments with your quirk." Doctor Izuku said.

"Wow!! This is amazing! Thank you so much, Doctor Izuku!!" I exclaimed and hugged him out of joy.

------

"We'll be going to the hospital tomorrow." My mom told me.

"I'll show Doctor Izuku my Periodic Table!!" I exclaimed with joy as my mother smiled.

------

On our way to the hospital, we ran into a fight between a villain and a hero. We stayed for a while just for the sake of our safety then the hero attacked the villain but missed and it hit us.

I never get to show Doctor Izuku my Periodic Table.
