Kao POV
"Do we need to learn these pre-requisite subjects?" I asked M, holding up the list of subjects I needed to learn. Shockers. So Engineering can create secret passages, just like Diagon Alley in Harry Potter. Strange how fiction could turn out to be true.
Scarlet Blades were forger of weapons. Green Alchemist for medicines. Sabertooth and Panthers are questionable to me.
"Ah, you guys study the ancient wizard novel!" It was Pete who spoke, sitting at the edge of the dock, his legs dangling.
White lights from the street post gleaming through the darkness of the river. Watching at the ripples sent a calming waves through my body.
"I guess, we're gonna study ancient wizard novel..." I suggested.
"Maybe more than one." Pete shrugged. He drank the boxed orange juice."I like to read ancient wizard stories but I don't have to take that much." I propped my elbows on the wooden rail. "Do they have an introduction to the modern assholes?"
M and Pete glanced up at me with a funny look. "In case of bullies, we could take them on without using magic."
"Good thinking." Said M.
"Oh! Pop culture!" Pete started to smile. "I'm taking this as my minor subject! They viewed a lot of recent movies, study art...""For credit?" I looked at him briefly. I flopped down at his side.
"Isn't college fun?" M said, tone indicating he was more eager than us."How did I miss that awesome subject?" I met Pete's gaze. "We're gonna take this."
"Well, you did. It's gonna be a last minute on choosing your minor subjects." Pete folded the folder.
I stared at the raft houses from afar. "Sorry, Mr. Dark Hunter."
"That's overrated." Pete glanced over his shoulder. "It's just, you know. Think it's good to be prepared. Besides it's your first wizard university."I explained to him about my schooling in the past years in Graiville, and my promise to go on a wizard school when Ash's ordeal is over.
"I've been busy. It's been a very heavy job to adjust in a city." I said.
"You've been here for what? Over three months?" P'Pete smacked his hand on my shoulder. "You should get used to it."
"It's exciting though, isn't it?" M said with a thrilling voice.
"Yeah." Agreed Pete."It's gonna be an adjustment." Sighing, I almost touched Pete's hand on the wood.
M waved his hand, casting us a dry look. "Yeah, the school is just five miles away, and I still go home in here. The wards in the University are strong enough not to let pass monsters."
"Kong said that I have to be more social towards people. I just need to figure out how it's going to work with my extracurricular activities. I have to stay sharp." I said.
Pete spoke softly. "That makes sense. It's gonna be tough." He sealed an arm over my shoulder. "But I've got my back."
M looked back as we heard a creak. We stayed here so that M and Pete could practice with their demon slayer magic. We waited for almost an hour now. I was just a back up here.
"Is that demon had the balls to ever wake up?" M asked, certainly annoyed.Main Cast:
