《Slight Angust》
_______________________________________/He told you to stop. That he didn't want to lose you. You told him he wouldn't. Just one last smoke.
"Ms. L/N, you have stage two lung cancer." Arthur sat with you, stroking the back of your hand with his thumb. With that sentence, he stopped. "Perhaps, if you had stopped just a little earlier, you would've lived. I give you about six months." He left.
Arthur hung his head low, lips pressed together. He looked broken, like his whole world came crashing down. He was about to cry. "I'm sorry. So, so sorry." You wispered.
Six months later
"Arthur?" He turned his head to look at you. "Who was it?" "The doctor's."
"What did the say?" Worried. He looked worried. Very worried. I couldn't blame him, who wants to bury the love of there life? "They said," I took in a deep breath. "They said that I'm cancer free." Tears. I sobbed. Wet, salty tears falling onto the hardwood floors. Arthur ran over to me, and encased me into his strong embrace. He started crying right along with me.
After six months of complete agony, this felt like heaven. Cancer free. Safe.𝕾𝖎𝖓𝖈𝖊 𝖙𝖍𝖊𝖓, 𝕴 𝖍𝖆𝖛𝖊𝖓'𝖙 𝖊𝖛𝖊𝖓 𝖑𝖔𝖔𝖐𝖊𝖉 𝖆𝖙 𝖆 𝖈𝖎𝖌𝖆𝖗𝖊𝖙𝖙𝖊 𝖕𝖆𝖈𝖐.
