"Ok so suppose this thing is supposed to unlock our supposed powers. How is it supposed to help us?" Asks Chan.
"That is the most I've ever heard supposed used in a sentence before." Says Seungkwan.
"I know right." Says Seokmin.
"Simple," Jeonghan says, ignoring the other two. "This is supposed to help unlock your powers. All we have to do is time the moonlight correctly, make it go through the hole and hit the person."
"How do we even know if it works?" Asks Joshua.
"We won't know until we test it out." Says Jeonghan. "The writer of this book gave this to me knowing we would need it soon. So we best hurry because we only have one night to get all seven of you. Well, I guess six of you."
They walked through the forest on a long path towards a supposed clearing. The ones with powers all carrying the books and maps while the others carried flashlights. Jeonghan looked up every once in a while to make sure they were still on track with the moon.
"But how is a simple flash of moonlight going to unlock these powers?" Asks Jun.
"This pendant is enchanted and crafted by our ancestors. According to this book it was made so people would be able to unlock their powers when they couldn't do it themselves. Back then they really valued having at least one child with powers. On those rare occasions where a child wasn't born able to use their powers, they used the pendant. It stopped when they realized that children were able to unlock them themselves at different points in their life." Says Seokmin.
Jeonghan who was at the front suddenly stopped causing everyone to pause in their steps and almost bump into the person in front of them.
"Ok, we're here. In order for this to work, we need to turn off all electronics and those without powers have to keep their eyes closed. Hansol I want you to gather all the electronics and stay near the trees. Even just a glimpse of electronics will cause the moonlight to fail."
Hansol nods as he takes everyone's flashlights and other electronics.
"Alright we need to hurry, we only have a few minutes to set all of this up." Says Jeonghan.
They continue walking a little while longer before Jeonghan stops Hansol and motions for the others to continue.
"Keep the electronics at least 10 feet from the clearing. Make sure to keep a lookout. Alert us as soon as you feel something is wrong. Samuel stay back with him just in case." Says Jeonghan.
The two nod and the rest continue on their way. Hansol looks back at Seungkwan who pats his back on his way past him.
"Good luck."
"Thanks."
The rest of them quickly reach the clearing and quickly head into the center. The six powerless ones stand back as the other six start setting up the things they need.
"Alright, Seokmin who's most likely to gain teleportation powers?" Asks Jeonghan.
"Umm," Seokmin looks through the multiple papers in his hand. "Uhhh Mingyu."
"Oh god." Mutters Jeonghan.
"Me?" Says Mingyu shocked.
"Yeah according to the logbooks your family had a teleporter every two generations until they stopped logging them to increase chances of them forgetting their powers. If my math is correct you should be the next generation to have teleportation powers." Says Seokmin.
"Alright." Says Mingyu.
"Great now stand here. Soonyoung grab the lense, Minghao make sure no other outside forces mess with the moonlight. Seungkwan and Seokmin form a protective barrier around him incase his powers get out of control. Wonwoo I want you to hold the pendant up in the air as soon as the moonlight reaches the lens, make sure it's directed through the hole and onto Mingyu. As for the rest of you, I want you all to watch carefully but keep an eye out for anything distracting." Says Jeonghan.
