Season 1 Chapter 7
-Nini-
Jennie POV
Tonight's the night. This time when I put together a basket for them, I added into the note a way for them to let me know what they would want for Christmas. After talking with Jisoo, Rosie, and Lisa, I decided I would have them write them on paper, put them in an envelope, then hand them in to the nearby cafe. I have a friend that works there and said she would take their names down and call me when they dropped it off.
I plan on getting them every single thing that's written on their lists. I don't care how ridiculous it is. I don't care how expensive it is. Y/n is so kind and I have no doubts his sister is just as kind. He tries so hard to take care of his sister and does what he can to make everyone around him happy. I want to try and do the same for him.
The basket was pretty much similar to what I had done before for them. Not much different other than the changes in the note and some candy for his sister.
Unfortunately, tonight I have to go by myself. The other three have separate schedules and my manager has the night off. But I know how to get there and I'll be careful. I already have an Uber on the way to pick me up. I made sure I'm properly covered up so I wouldn't be recognized.
For some reason, I feel really nervous... Maybe it's because I'm going alone for the first time? I'm not sure, but I feel really uneasy, almost like something isn't right. I can't let that get to me though, I made a promise to myself and him.
"Okay, I'm leaving, Jennie unnie." Rosie's voice came from the way to the door. "Be careful tonight, okay?"
"I will, Rosie. Don't worry." I assured her with a smile.
She came over to me and gave me a hug before taking off to meet the manager out in the car. I took a deep breath and looked at the time on my phone. I noticed that my Uber should be here shortly and I got everything together and put on my mask, bucket hat, and sunglasses. You would think that wearing all of this would make me stick out like a sore thumb, but with how many high-class people wearing it, it actually helps me blend in more than anything. I took another deep breath and tried to calm myself down. You can do this Jennie.
Y/n POV
Okay. Hopefully, Chunhei doesn't just show up before she's supposed to be home so this goes as planned. I went around the front to double-check my suspicion and I was correct. You can't see overtop the solid awning over the door. Perfect. Time to set the plan in motion.
I grabbed some snacks, a drink, and a book then set up the ladder around the back. I climbed up and settled on the solid awning and sure enough, it was able to hold me with ease. I settled down and began reading the book I brought up with me. Thankfully, the light was good enough to be able to read from. I think I would have died of boredom otherwise.
About a half-hour went by and a car stopped across the street from my place. I put my book down and laid low and watched. Soon after stopping, someone stepped out of the back passenger seat; the person walked out from behind carrying a basket. Gotcha. From what I could see of the person's figure and the way they walked, I figured it was a girl. She made it up to the porch and out of my sight. Let's hope I'm still athletic enough for this. I let myself dangle down from the awning. My feet locked in place. I got down just in time to see her knock. She turned around and about jumped out of her skin, falling back and landing on her butt, leaning on the front door.
