He stared at me. “What?” I asked innocently.

“I thought I clearly told you to wear a business suit. Why are you wearing a student’s uniform?” he asked coldly.

I grinned cheerfully and spun around, holding my skirt. “Why? Isn’t it bagay? Bagay kaya sa’kin,” I said, skipping happily.

He rubbed his temples. “Magbihis ka.”

“‘Yoko,” I replied cheerfully. “I’m so cute wearing this kaya. You don’t find me cute? Shame.”

He opened his eyes and glared coldly at me. Ooh. So cold. I had to rub my arms. “Hindi. At puwede bang magbihis ka?”

“Ayoko,” I said, smiling widely.

“Why do you insist on wearing that, anyway?” he asked, sighing.

I smirked at him. “Because I would get a better view of Isla this way,” I replied, smirking at him.

He shook his head and muttered, “Seriously.”

Huh, sungit. “So what are we going to do now?” I asked.

“We? It’s not we. You are going to study,” he almost snapped coldly.

“I dislike studying,” I said, wailing.

He ignored me and started walking. Students started looking at us and whispering. I smirked when I caught sight of female students pointing at Denzel Chen with dreamy looks on their faces. Oh, nice. He must be popular among the female population. I wonder how popular he was back then, assuming he studied here.

I stopped walking and clutched my head as pain shot without warning.

“Anong problema mo?” he asked, turning to look at me.

I shook my head and walked again.

Weird. What was that?

While we were walking, I diverted my attention to those dreamy-eyed girls around the campus who were following his view. I bit back a laugh. Like, seriously? They like this suplado? So funny.

I examined his back as he walk. Once again, pain shot on my head. This time, I wasn’t able to take it. I didn’t realize that I almost fell on my knees.

It hurt like hell!

“Ouch, ouch, ouch,” I muttered.

He stopped walking and came to stand next to me. “Anong nangyayari sa’yo?”

“Migraine,” I replied.

“Migraine?” he asked, narrowing his eyes.

I looked up. Wrong move because I found my face just inches away from his. That was when I got a clear view of his eyes.

I blinked. He cleared his throat. I suddenly stood up straight. “Students are watching,” he whispered, walking again.

I couldn’t help smirking. “Oh, so you’re scared of staining your reputation by showing concern to a student?” I asked, smirking.

He glared coldly me at me. “One, you’re not a student,” he almost snapped. “Two, I wasn’t concerned.”

I shrugged. Sungit. “Whatever, Chen Deng Xi, whatever.”
