AN: Yes, I am back with a new chapter! I will try to update every week, depending on what life brings me. The story may be boring in the beginning, but that is because it is the beginning. Hopefully after this chapter, I will bring some new and exciting chapters! Thanks for everyone who have read my story so far! There will, in the future, be changes to these chapters, but only to add music. If you happen to have a song/music suggestions for that chapter, don't hesitate to tell me! Now without further a due, here is Chapter 3!
Disclamer: I do not own any of the RWBY characters.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
It has been two days since Oscar passed out from the battle with Tyran, and he still has not woken up yet. Qrow blames himself for Oscar's condition because of his semblance, and has not left his side ever since we brought him back to the Atlas Academy. Jaune and I have offered to take shifts to look after him, but Qrow refused. He told us that it's his responsibility to look after the kid, but after an hour or so, Qrow passed out from exhaustion. Everyone agreed that we would all take turns watching over Oscar until he wakes up. Jaune took first shift, and tried to wake up Oscar by amplifying his aura, but with no such luck. Blake and Yang took the next shift, until there was an attack of grimm. Nora offered herself and Ren to look after him while we battled and stayed with him for almost 3 hours. Then it was Weiss turn. Surprisingly, she stayed with him throughout most of the evening. Ren cooked us supper, and Weiss finally came down to eat. And now it is my turn.
As I walk down the hallway to Oscar's room, I can't help but feel fear of what might happen if Oscar never wakes up. What if Ospin can't lead us anymore? What if- I shake my head. No. Oscar has to wake up. For us... for Atlas... for me. I shake my head. Who am I kidding. To distract myself, I look at all of the pictures in the hallway of all of the leaders of Atlas before Ironwood, and can't help but think if they ever had to face anything like this. I sigh. Of course not. They always had Ospin to look up to. They never knew the truth of Salem or of Ospin's life. No. They blindly obeyed everything Ospin told them, and believed everything he told them without a second guess. They all lived their lives in a lie, and died to protect everything they were taught. I finally stopped on Ironwood's picture and wondered if Ironwood would die protecting a lie. No. He will not. I will tell him whether Ospin wants me to or not. And nothing will stop me from doing so.

As I walked into Oscar's room, I saw Oscar lying peacefully in bed. I smile a soft and sad smile. I walk over to his bed and cant help but notice how his hair complements his facial features. His skin glowed in the dim light of the lamp that stood by his bed, and his expression was soft. His breathing was steady and looked like he was just taking a nap. That moment passed when his face started to scrunch up and started to twist and turn.
"Oscar, you Ok?" I ask him. I hear him groan in annoyance or in pain as he continues to shift uncomfortably in bed.
"No... stop..." Oscar mumbles. His face switches from discomfort to pain then to fear to anger. His body starts to flail around, as if he is trying to escape from someone or something. "Get away... no, stop... no... Please stop..."
"Oscar?" I walk towards him and call his name several times. "Oscar, Oscar wake up, it is only a dream." He either does not hear me or ignores me because he continues to squirm in bed.
"No, please stop..." He is starting to panic. I place my hand on his head which turns out to be a bad idea.
"GET YOUR HANDS OFF ME!" I jump back at the sudden outburst as he continues to shout. "NO PLEASE! STOP! DON'T DO THIS, PLEASE!!" The yelling grabs the attention of Qrow, Ironwood and everyone else as they burst into the room.
"What is happening? What is wrong with Oscar?" Qrow turns to me.
"I- I don't know! I didn't do anything! He just... just started to scream and kick and- and..." I try to fight back the tears but I was not quick enough. Tears crawls down my face as Uncle Qrow ran over to Oscar.
"Yang! Get over here and help me hold him down before he hurts someone or himself." Yang nodded and grabbed Oscar's left arm while Qrow held his right arm down.
" NO! STOP PLEASE! HELP! SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME!" His face went from panic to petrified fear in a matter of seconds as he continued to fight. Tears ran down his cheek, and all I could do was sit there and watch the whole scene unfold before me. Powerless. And unable to do anything to help them. Oscar's struggling was getting weaker, and his voice went to a whisper. "Please... don't..." then he was quiet. Qrow and Yang slowly let go of Oscar, and we all watched as Oscar went completely still. We all looked at each other, unsure of what just happened.
"Uncle Qrow, what is going on?"
"I don't know kid. I don't-" he suddenly was interrupted by Oscar's scream.
"NOOOOOO!!!!" He sat straight up in bed, with tears running down his cheek. His hand went to his neck, and started gasping for breath. He looked around to each and every one of us, until his eyes set on me. He relaxed for a second before tensing when he saw Qrow.
"Kid, what happened? Are you alright?" Qrow started to walk towards Oscar until Oscar started to move away. We all gave him questioning looks when Penny came in with a syringe.
"The medicine is ready, Ironwood sir!" Ironwood gave her a small nod, before walking towards Oscar. He was too busy glaring at Qrow to notice Penny injecting him with something. As soon as she was done, Oscar immediately took reaction to the medicine, and started to slump. He turned to me, and I could see in his eyes that whatever he was given, he tried to fight off, but was too weak to. His eyes started to droop down, and his body started to relax as he looked at me with a serious face.
"Ruby..." was all he said before he was knocked out.

Oscar's POV
I wake up to see everyone looking at me. The nightmare, memory, what ever the hell that was was now gone and forgotten. It took me a while to see that I am safe and sound back at the Atlas Academy. My throat feels soar, and I feel like I was fighting grimm for hours on end. I look around to see if Ruby was here. And when I saw her, a big weight lifted off my shoulders.
Good, she is safe... for now. And that was when I saw Qrow. Parts of my nightmare came racing back to my memory. But not enough to understand what was going on. All I knew was that I did not like Qrow right now.
"Kid, what happened? Are you alright?" He starts to walk towards me. I moved back. I am NOT letting him get anywhere near me nor Ruby. I felt something cold press against my arm, and I tuned to see Penny with a syringe. I could feel the, what ever she gave me, take affect. My body was forced to relax, and my eyes felt like two ton bricks. Why was I so tired? I don't have time to figure that out. I turn to Ruby.
"Ruby..." but that was all I could say before the darkness washed over me and swallowed me whole leaving me all alone once more.
