THE GILBERT'S HOUSE

ELENA DOESN'T RESPOND to Elsie or Bonnie's calls for a few days, so they grow worried about her. They end up going over to her house, which is when they find her hiding out in her bedroom.

"Ew. It's depressing in here," Elsie frowns, pulling back the curtains to allow some light in. Bonnie tries to pull back Elena's covers, but the Gilbert girl objects.

"No. No."

Bonnie gives up after a couple of tugs and her and Elsie join Elena on the bed. "Why haven't you called either of us back?"

"I'm sorry," Elena apologizes as Elsie raises a curious eyebrow.

"Are you gonna hide out in your bed forever or tell us what's going on?"

"Yep," Elena nods before moving over to allow Elsie and Bonnie to squeeze beside her in the bed.

"I'm officially worried," Bonnie declares, snuggling closer to her friend. "What's going on?"

"I'm tired of thinking, of talking. I-" Elena trails off, exhausted and feeling guilty about everything that happened on Halloween night.

"Can you sum that up for us so we can at least try to help you?" Elsie exclaims, scrunching her nose at Elena.

"Stefan and I broke up."

"I'm so sorry," Elsie and Bonnie chirp in unison before exchanging knowing glances. "Are you ok? Wait. Never mind. That was a stupid question."

Bonnie sighs. "I know I've been kind of M.I.A. when you need me the most. I suck."

"You can make it up to me by getting my mind off of it," Elena frowns as the Bennett girl racks her mind for something she could do to distract Elena.

"Just remember you asked for it," Bonnie finally grins before fully closing Elena's ajar window. She then grabs a pocket knife off of Elena's nightstand and uses it to rip open a pillow. Elena objects and Elsie watches in confusion, but Bonnie is keen as she allows the pillow's feathers to fly out. "Uh, be patient. I need you two to swear to secrecy."

"It's kind of a bad week for that stuff," Elena admits, casting a guilty glance in the Donovan girl's direction. Elsie doesn't notice, focusing all of her attention on Bonnie.

"I swear," Elsie nods before turning to Elena. "If this is big enough to Bonnie that she needs to swear us to secrecy, then it must be something pretty important."

"Fine. Ok. I swear."

"Ok, there's no windows open, right?" Bonnie asks as Elena nods.

"Right."

"There's no fan, no air conditioning."

"None. What are you doing?"

"Grams just showed me this. You're gonna love it," Bonnie grins before gingerly using her magic to lift one of the feather's off of the bed without touching it.
