The Long and Patient Road: A Star Wars Story

Prologue

Ben saves Rey on Exegol after she defeats her grandfather, Sheev Palpatine. Rey was delighted to see Ben Solo. Someone she has hoped to see fully since their first forcebond. She doesn't hesitate her feelings and kisses him. He delightfully accepts and they both fight for dominance. Once they eventually pull away, shes takes Bens hand as they run back to [Formerly Lukes, now Reys] X-Wing. Ben initially goes for the pilot seat before Rey pulls him back. He looks at her slightfully confused as she winks at him, climbing into the pilot seat. He chuckles softly, climbing into the seat behind her. Rey takes off and heads for Ajan Kloss. Neither Ben nor Rey said anything while Rey flew. They just enjoyed each others presence. They arrived at The Resistance Base on Ajan Kloss and everyone gathered around the x-wing, cheering. Once Rey opened the hatch, everyone seem confused at who the passenger was. Rey said who he was and everyone pointed their blasters at him. She shrieked and told everyone to lower their rifles. She explained to everyone what happened on Exegol and some of what Ben had gone through. Ben revealed a little of his past, but still mostly kept his past a secret. People were hesitant but welcomed him. After clearing things up, she told them where she and Ben planned to go and build another temple to train and teach new jedi. Before they left, she grabbed a imperial probe droid, 9-7D, she had reprogrammed while in training with Leia. Her and Ben took off and eventually landed on a remote part of Naboo. Once they found a place to stay, they learned a lot about eachother and their love burned stronger. They began to build a another temple to train and teach new jedi. Rey had activated 9-7D and was very fond of the little droid. As she laid to rest besides Ben one night, she felt something strange. She felt raindrops fall on her, and she saw something consumed in darkness. Rey was having another vision.
