I don't know who I am or where I am but it's dark. I can't see a single thing. It's been silent for a while now, I'm starting to get scared. Finally after what seams like an eternity, I start to hear a constant beeping and the humming of someone's voice. "Who are you?" I try to ask him but the words never left my lips.
"...never should've happened to you. I should've been there. I'm so sorry, Jack. I'm so sorry." I can finally hear his voice clearly. He's barely whispering and sounds like he's been crying but I can still hear him perfectly. I should know him, I know I know him. 'Maybe if I see him I'll remember him.' I struggle with all my might to open my eyes. They don't budge.
'Maybe if I can touch him he'll know I'm here.' I move my focus over to my hand. 'Come on you little...' It twitches. I try again and my fingers brush against something warm and soft. I hear a gasp and instantly something wraps around my hand. "Jack?" he breaths out huskily.
My eyes start to flicker open only to be shut by the bright light. "Jack, open your eyes for me. Please Jack." he whispers as his free hand moves up to caress my cheek. "Please."
My eyes slowly open up at his words and, after my eyes adjust to the light, my eyes are met with the most beautiful sky blue ones, red and puffy, tears still sliding down his grinning cheeks. I let out a small gasp and look up at him, a weak smile on my face.
"Damon."
