Being a demigod usually means you have horrible dreams/ visions whenever you close your eyes. I am no exception. TV screens floated in and out of my vision. Multiple sights and sounds assaulted my eyes, but I forced myself to focus on only one.
Without warning, my consciousness was pulled in and I found myself sitting on a white blanket of snow. The air was crisp and cold, like a fresh apple. Across the ridge, I saw two people sprinting across the bleak landscape. One looked to be older than the other. A hundred feet behind them, a woman was singing, stretching out her arms like she was expecting a hug.
Something about her was off-putting, terrifying. She seemed to have some sort of magic; she cast a flame that, instead of sputtering out against the damp snow, ignited and roared up in front of the girls, boxing them in.
The oldest stopped and turned around, looking for a way out. My breath caught as I realised I was staring at myself, only younger. " Dont come any closer!" She (I? Me?) shouted. The woman just laughed and said, "Stay! Dont leave. You belong to me."
I finally examined the woman. She had on a blue grey dress that matched her dull blue eyes. She wore a blank expression and paired with her serene smile made her look insane.
"Silver?" The younger girl asked "What's going on?"
The woman brought her hands together making the flames roar higher and pushing them foward. "You mean you didnt tell her?"
Right then, that moment froze, like someone had punched the pause button on the remote and the screen shattered. I was catapulted backward back into the room with all the TVs. I sat, rubbing my head wondering what had happened. The older girl in the scene . . . Was me? How could that be possible? As far as I knew, that had never happened. I had lived in Allen my whole life where the only snow you got was the light dusting of frost after a chilly night. And what did the woman mean I didnt tell the younger girl.
So many questions made my head hurt. The memory was like a book you were forced to close after a whole night of reading because you couldnt stay awake. Wanting to know more but needed the two hours of sleep before school.
Suddenly, the TV's fell away to reveal the same woman from the memory. She opened her mouth and her words brodcasted and vibrated throughout the room.
"Memories." She mused, " So fragile. Can be taken away too easily!" She steped closer to me and pulled out a little square cube. "Want your's back?"
My vision started to fade and I struggled to hear what she said next.
"Find me." And the world faded to black.
Well, that was a short chapter. Only 467 words i think. Still, i hope you like it. Now I must go to the desolate land of never ending 1a, F decending, and chromatic scales called Band class! Good Bye!
