Today was the day! I would finally be able to attend my lesson. I know I sound like such a loser, but everybody around me has experienced magical lessons whilst I've been stuck in the hospital wing. I couldn't wait!

I knew that I had defence against the dark arts first, because I had memorised it. In that lesson, there were some Gryffindors, Hufflepuffs, and Slytherins. I was taught not to stereotype Slytherins because my dad always spoke of a man named Severus Snape, who on the outside seemed very harsh. But everyday, he put his life on the line to protect my dad, and everybody on his side. I never really understood my fathers childhood. It was absolutely awful! His parents (my grandparents) were murdered by a soulless man name Voldemort. This same man also tried to kill dad, but he didn't succeed. Which left my father the only person to ever survive the killing curse. So basically... Voldemort made several attempts and dads life, all of which failed. But along the way some great, courageous people died, like Remus & Tonks (Teddy's parents) and uncle Fred. People also thought dad was lying about it all, but they were soon proved wrong when a battle took place at Hogwarts, and we won. Voldemort was destroyed and our side has remained victorious. But on the subject of Severus, he was once a bad man. But Albus Dumbledore trusted him, and brought him back to the good side. Voldemort however didn't know this, and trusted him. Sadly, Snape died at battle. I still hear stories about it all and my father is very proud of everybody and when he reminisces he gets a lump in his throat that makes me proud to be related to him.

TIME SKIP TO BREAKFAST

"Slow down Lil, you'll spill it on your shirt!" Giggled Leah

I smiled sheepishly and wiped my mouth. I couldn't wait for my lessons. Everybody had told me that everything was amazing about the lessons and I wanted to experience it.

"She's excited. Let her be!" Smiled Nala

Soon after, the breakfast stuff cleared and i leapt up from my seat and up to the dorm so I could get my books. The hallways were basically clear because breakfast had only just finished, so nobody tried to stop me running or try and chat with me.

When I reached the painting of the fat lady, she was asleep. I tapped and shouted for about 5 minutes before she woke up with a start.

"Good gracious child! What could you possibly want?"

"To enter the common room?"

"Oh yes... Password?"

"Powerful and Brave"

The portrait in front of me swung open, and I stepped inside. There wasn't many people in there, just a couple of third years. They smiled at me as I passed, but I was in a hurry so I smiled back and carried on rushing. When I reached the door to our room, it had a crack going down it. It seemed very peculiar. My hand reached out to touch the handle but heat shot through my arm and into my neck. My knees gave way and pain seared through my whole body. I sunk to the floor.

"Help...anyone?" I whimpered before closing my eyes and sleeping.
