The girls were on their way to the party. Nothing fancy honestly. But they still somehow make an effort to wear something decent. Although, aliya and anis were just planning to wear a hoodie and some jeans their friends had other plans. They got a button-up off shoulder summer dress pastel pink for aliya and pastel blue for anis. They have to admit it looks good on the two.

Once they reach the mansion, Tanisha ring the bell and a person dress in a suit opened the door for them.

I thought he say it wasn't anything fancy. What's the special occasion though.

Mustafa walks towards the group and invited them to make themselves at home. He looks at the girl in front of him and smiles.

“what's the special occasion? I thought you say it's nothing fancy,” the girl raised an eyebrow when the boy chuckle.

“you'll see,” he winked at the girl before praising her dress and her whole being.

There was a lot of people. Maybe about a hundred people there. But who is the girl kidding? It's Mustafa we are talking about. However, two girls approach the group.

“nice dress aliya. But isn't it a little too short? Don't you think Chloe,” Vernice look at the girl from head to toe but she just ignores them and carry on sipping her cocktail?

“if you have nothing good to say then don't say,” anis said from behind and aliya could tell she was proud of herself.

“just in case you don't know but your special night is going to be a ruin,” Vernice whispered to the girl's ear. “what do you mean?” the girl asked in a stern voice. Vernice just raises her shoulder and walk away with Chloe.

Soon enough Mustafa when up the mini stage and got everybody's attention.

“thank you so much for coming over and spending your Friday night here. Today will be a special night for me and some who means a lot to me. This person has been with me for 2 years. She helps me grow as a person and this is how far I've gone with her support and care that she shows towards me. That special someone is none other than. Aleya,” the boy when down the stage and made his way to the girl. He held her hand in his and smile.

“We have gone this far. I have never thought of me falling in love with the girl I've been ship with since day one. Maybe it's fate but other than that you mean so much to me. We've been through so much together. We create special memories that I never expected it to be with you but here I confess to you hoping that you will accept me into your life. So would you like to be my girlfriend?”

The whole room was silent. the girl was frozen. But everything comes to the girl's senses again once she remembers something and someone who is going to forbid her to love someone like the boy in front of her.

“mus i-i can't accept this. I really want to but I can't. I'm sorry but. I have to go,” the girl let go of her hand and left the place.

Tears were forming in her eyes. She got into a convenient store. It was pretty late but she didn't care anymore. Her life was a mess. She's been through too much this year and she's just mentally tired and physical too.

She sits down in one of the stools in the store and bought a cup of ramen. She was just looking outside, rethinking about whatever happens just now.

“I shouldn't have to go.”

She heard footsteps walking behind her and a young man a few years older than her offered her a tissue. She whispered a thank you and then apologising the guy for the inconvenience she made.

“it's fine. We don't usually get customers this late at night. And like before I actually fall asleep in here I might as well talk. Sorry if it sounds sceptical. But it's really the case. By the way, I'm Jackson, 17 years old.” the guy introduces himself as he sat stools away from the girl.
