Min hated first days in college with a passion. Every time it was same old shit storm. And every time she dealt with it, her insecurities would only grow more.
She didn't like how girls here and there tried to steal glances at Jin. Or how they tried to start unnecessary conversations with Jin just to get him to notice them. She especially didn't like it when they put their filthy hands on him like he was their own property.
She hated how everyone treated him like he was a masterpiece. She didn't deny that he was. Just that she didn't want anyone to touch what was hers.
The moment she stepped down from Jin's bike, she noticed the jealous glares thrown at her. She could feel their sharp gazes without even looking at their direction. However, she ignored these stares like she always did.
In these 2 years of knowing Jin, Min had learned a lot about how to deal with jealousy.
There had been moments where she would "accidentally" trip over someone's leg or someone would "accidentally" pour a drink over her. She just went past these instances with the fakest smile she could muster. Sometimes you could even hear her apologise for someone elses mistakes.
Why didn't she retaliate? Of course, it was because of Jin.
She wanted, no, she needed to be perfect for Jin. She needed to have a forgiving personality for his sake because she knew how much he cherished his reputation. She acted as if everything was fine everytime the jealousy would get to her. Though, in her mind, everyone was better 6 feet under.
Another thing she hated was how she didn't realise for the first six months that she was studying in the same college as him.
It was after their second encounter that she found out, which she still remembers very precisely.
She remembers how Jin had stopped his bike in front of her as she was waiting for the bus. Their eyes had met through the helmet he was wearing and she instantly recognised him. Jin had smiled at her and had asked her if she was okay the night before.
Min also remembers feeling her heart skip a beat at the thought that he remembered the happenings of the night and even recognised her.
As they started conversing they also realised that they were studying at the same college, just different faculties.
Jin was studying to become an enterprenuer, as it had been his lifelong dream to own a company. Min was follwing her undergraduate degree in pharmacy, something she was forced into because of her good grades.
Jin was ecstatic when he first found out that they were in the same college. It was like their fates were sealed together. For someone like Jin who believed with his whole heart in soulmates, it was like everything in the world was trying to bring them together.
The thought about their intertwined fates brought a smile to Jin's face as he took off the helmet from Min's head.
"I keep telling you that this freaking helmet meesses with my hair. Look at how it is all mushed up now. I look ugly." Min whined as Jin helped her with the helmet.
Jin just ignored her complaints with a shit eating grin and connected the helmet to his seat. He was still trying to stay angry at her for the morning scare but was failing miserably. How could he stay angry when she was being so cute?Min just pouted at his lack of response yet followed him like a lost puppy as he made his way towards the entrance.
"I can't believe you are still mad at me. Like you have never done it to me before." Min muttered under her breath as she walked behind him.
Jin just gave her a quick glance and without answering took off towards his building.
Min just scoffed at his behaviour and stuck out her tongue at his back. She was pretty confident that he would be back to sticking to her like glue in no time.
On the back of her mind though, Min could still feel the piercing gstares. Their bickering had only brought more attention to them and she started getting anxious.
She sighed as she remembered once again how much she hated first days of college. Her gaze moved to the ground as she lamented in her mind, it was going to be a long day ahead.
