BZZT! BZZT!

I woke up to the sound of my alarm. I clicked the clock to turn off the alarm and then opened my eyes and looked at the clock.

6:30am... Guess I better get going before I'm late.

I got up and stepped out of my bed, put on my uniform, then headed to the bathroom. After cleaning up, I looked into the mirror.

Time for a quick ability test.

I activated my ability and looked at the mirror, expecting there to be no one there.

Gone, perfect.

After warming up my ability a bit to prepare for any potential conflicts, I got out of the bathroom and prepared to head to class. It seemed Roland had already left.

What a studious person.

I walked to the elevator and went down to the first floor.

Well, I hope I don't get involved in any fights today... unlikely as it is.

I exited the dorms and was greeted with a relaxing scenery. There was a grass field and paved sidewalks filled with students cheerfully walking to class. A calm wind blew by my face as a few birds chirped up in the trees that surrounded the dormitories. I began to walk to towards the school.

Such a peaceful environment, I wish society could be more like this. Countless people suffer in the lower tier districts... just like my poor uncles, aunts and cousins. The higher tier districts meanwhile enjoy luxuries, and even those with low ability levels can enjoy them so long as they submit to the higher ranked citizens. What a cruel society this is...

I entered Wellston and was met by hordes of students scrambling the halls and looking for the right room numbers. I sighed.

Didn't these people look at the map before coming here? Maybe I'm the strange one...

I started walking over to my homeroom class, math, in room 254. I marched up the stairs to get to the second floor and started walking down the hall when I heard some yelling.

"Watch where you're going b*tch!" a female voice shouted. I looked to my right to see a girl with purple hair in a pony tail standing over a kneeling girl with pink pig-tails. The girl kneeling down on the ground had her hands on her head and had a bruise on her face.

"I-I'm sorry! I didn't mean to!" the girl on the ground wailed.

"SHUT UP!" the purple haired girl shouted as she slapped the girl on the ground right across her cheek. The slap made such a loud noise it was palpable. The girl on the ground shrieked in pain.

Just my luck. I have to walk past a fight on my first day of school...

I looked around to make sure no one was watching. They were all either rushing to class or focused on the purple haired girl. I activated my ability and started walking towards them.

"Ugh, now my shirt is covered in filthy low-tier germs because of you," the purple haired girl said with disgust as she stormed away. The poor pink haired girl was lying on her side and caressing her face.
