"This is Michonne and Maggie" Rick said as I walked over to their car in front of the supermarket.

"I'm Addison" I smiled and they returned the gesture.

"Do I need to find my own food?" I asked.

"No, we share everything back at the prison" The one I assume is Maggie said.

I'm going to be living in a prison.. With my family history I knew I would end up there sooner or later.

"Here put your bag in the trunk" The woman with a katana said opening up the car boot and I did as i was told.

"We're just waiting for Carl than we can leave" Rick said.

Carl. That must be blue eyes, his son. Carl came out of the grocery store with a clear bag filled with baby formula and nappies.

They've managed to have a baby and keep it alive during the end of the world? Carl must have seen me looking at what was in his hand.

"It's for my baby sister" He smiled at me.

"Okay let's go, everyone get in the car" Rick ordered us.

Rick drove with Michonne in the passenger seat. Maggie, Carl and I in the back, Carl sitting in the middle.

It felt nice being close next to another person, it felt normal. Especially when that person is as sweet as Carl is.

"I'm Carl, I didn't get to properly meet you back there" He held out his hand and I shook it.

"Addison, nice to meet you"

I blushed and pulled my hand away when I noticed we were still holding hands and our friendly handshake was going way longer than necessary.

"We will be there soon" I heard Rick say before I felt myself falling asleep.

When the car pulled to a stop it woke me up and I saw a prison tower out the window, i could tell it was the middle of the afternoon because Daryl taught me how to tell time by the sun. I'm not the best at it but it looks like it's around 4 o'clock.

"This is it" I heard Carl say as I sat up, realizing that I fell asleep on him and apologized, he just smiled at me and winked.

''So this is it, Carl will introduce you to everyone and show you around. He'll get you settled in.''

Rick said as we were all getting out of the car, I smiled at him in response. I walked to the back of the car to get my bags out of the trunk. I only had a back pack filled with my things but there was also a lot of food and supplies i had gathered over the last couple of weeks that i brought with me for the new group so it was a lot to carry.

''Here let me help you with that'' Carl came over and grabbed a bag from me, obvious he saw me struggling.

''Thanks, its good to know chivalry is still around even though it's the end of the world'' He smiled at my comment. We were walking towards a big cell block and as we got to the door I saw the letter C.

''This is the cell block you will live in, we're kind of running out of room so you will have to share my cell. Only if your comfortable to share with me of course.'' He said.

''Sharing with you will be great, it'll feel like summer camp'' I said and he smiled. "except we're sleeping in prison bunks" I made him laugh.

I followed him as we walked into the building and into a cell I'm assuming is his. The cell block was empty but it was obvious that people lived in here.

The cell was plain and unimpressive, yet it was perfect. There was a bunk bed on the right hand side with Carl's sheets being at the top and a desk on the left side of the cell.

''I'll try not to snore but if i do feel free to hit me'' He laughed at what he said and placed my bag on the bottom bunk.

''So um.. unpack your things and then i will introduce you to everyone'' He scratched the back of his neck awkwardly. I smiled at him as he left and got to unpacking my things.

It didn't take long to unpack but by the time i finished getting settled the sun was going down. It gets darker a lot earlier these days. When i finished putting the last of my clothes away i put all food, medicine and extra supplies in a plastic bag so i could give it to Rick and he could do what he liked with it for the group.

''Ready to meet everyone?'' I jumped so much I almost hit my head on the bunk but tried to play it off. I turned to see Carl standing at the cell door grinning because he know he scared the hell out of me.

''You're cute when your scared'' He laughed.

''What kind of idiot sneaks up on someone in an apocalypse'' I laughed at him.

''That would be me, So are you ready??''

"Yep, lead the way'' He turned and starting walking out. There was a table in the middle of the cell block and a few people were sitting there. I knew Rick and Michonne but not the other two people sitting there. The girl with blonde hair who looked older than me was holding a baby girl on her lap.

''This is Hershel and Beth, and my baby sister Judith'' I smiled at them, i could already tell that i will be able to trust them. Hershel had a kind face and he stood to shake my hand.

''Hello sweetie, its lovely to meet you'' Hershel said.

''Its nice to meet you too, and you Beth'' I smiled at her and she smiled back. I walked over to her wanting to hold Judith. I looked at Rick.

"Can i?'' I asked Rick wanting to have his beautiful baby girl in my arms for a little bit.

"Go for it'' Beth handed her to me and i couldn't keep the smile off my face. Ive always loved babies, My dream job before all this happened was to be a midwife or a day care teacher. I looked down at this gorgeous baby girl laying in my arms.

''How old is she?'' I asked the question to no one in particular.

''8 months'' Carl answered me, i looked over at him and he was smiling at me as he watched me hold his sister.

"She is absolutely perfect'' I kissed her forehead and handed her back to Beth.

''Come with me'' Carl asked me. I nodded and followed him to a little kitchen where a lady with short hair was cooking.

"This is Carol'' Carl introduced me to her and she smiled coming over to me.

"Hi I'm Addison" I held out my hand and she pulled me into a hug instead, i hugged her back.

"Its great having new people into the group especially when they're as young as you and Carl are. Rick told me about you already'' She let me go and offered me a kind smile.

"I better get back to cooking, you children go and cause some trouble" She winked as she went back to stirring something in a pot on a solar paneled stove.

"Sure will'' Carl said already walking away brushing past me as he did.

"Great meeting you" I started walking after Carl.

Carl and i were sitting on the ground just talking in our cell.

"Glenn and Maggie are keeping watch in the watch tower you can meet Glenn later-" He was about to continue when he was cut of by a redneck deep voice.

"I caught a deer, its in the kitchen with Carol. We're getting a good feed tonight'' I would recognize the voice anywhere. I stood up and ran out to the room where i met Hershel and Beth was in the middle of the cell block and then i saw him.

"Daryl" I whispered.
