I groan as I lift my head up from the all too familiar, cold laboratory desk. I glance up to look at the clock although my vision is somewhat blurred.
1:37
"Three more minutes of hell and off to lunch I go" I mumble. "Huh?" I turn to look at my lab partner, Jiho, before going back to sleep. "You know it's time to go right?"
"There are three more minutes left," I say, keeping my head down. "Hoseok; Schedule changes." "Shit." "How did you not realize the bell rang? Didn't you see people move? why do you take so long to wake up? why haven't you-"
"Hey Jiho," I smirk. "My body has a schedule and I have to comply with its rules. That is way more important than whatever is going on in here." "Mhm, well I'm off." He places a small 5 Hour Energy bottle next to me. "Have fun sleeping." Jiho waves as he exits the classroom. "Always." I smile as I take it, now attempting to open the troublesome packaging. You see, if teachers didn't let us stay in classrooms even if they are present inside, I would have quit high school to go sleep in my mother's basement for years.

I pull out my phone, annoyed as it almost made me spill the energy bottle.

"There it is." I smile and get up, chugging the small "drink" and putting my belongings back in my backpack before heading to the school cafeteria. "This'll be fun."

"You need to have more urgency when it comes to me."
"Does it look like I care about your issues?"
Jimin's eyes go wide. "Excuse me sir, who's the one that's helping you pass calculus?" "Barely" I chuckle at him. "That's because you were at 28 percent, now thanks to me you're at a 63." "That's not enough." I frown. "Hoseok, there's only so much one can fix in two weeks."
I roll my eyes. "Whatever, what did you want me for?" I say as I sit beside him. "Help me with English." "What? I have a C in that class, why would you want help from me?" I stare at him in confusion. "Because I know your essays are what's keeping you at a C, which is exactly what I need help with. You don't do any other work except the essays from what I saw on your online grade script-"
"You need to stop fucking getting into it, I've changed the password like twelve times." I put my head on the table in frustration. "I'm looking out for you! Anyways, in your essays, you get A-'s or higher, so they have to be good." "Fine, send the essay to me. I'll look it over, fix and add things and then I'll send it back." I shift my head to the side to face him. "This is why you're my best friend." Jimin smiles gleefully. "Too bad you're not mine." I pout at him and go back to face down. "Hey! Who is it then!"
"It's me," Taehyung smirks as he sits down with us. Upon hearing his voice I immediate look up and regain my posture. "Thank god, he was starting to get cringy." I sigh in relief. "I'm never helping you with calculus again." Jimin crosses his arms. "And I won't fix your essay." I tease. "Tae I'm being threatened by a future high school dropout." Jimin fake sobs. Taehyung puts his hand on his heart, "That's horrible Jiminie! I wonder if what you just said will worsen your essay situation." I high five Taehyung under the table, satisfied with the successful teasing we're doing on poor Jimin.
"You guys suck." Jimin sighs and pokes a small straw through his Yakult drink. "Don't worry about your essay," I laugh. "I bet that when I look over it it's going to be fine and I will barely have to fix anything." "Please be honest with it, even if it's something minor that isn't really that bad, fix it and let me know what I did wrong." Jimin frowns. "Fine, but don't go acting all depressed saying that I hurt your feelings." I nudge his shoulder. "You know what," Taehyung interrupts, now facing Jimin. "Why don't we all just meet at my house, I'll buy food, Hoseok fixes your essay you help me with calculus as well, and we're all a happy family?" Taehyung smiles.
"I want to be disowned if you are my parent," I tell Taehyung. "If so, I guess no food for you then." Tae shrugs. "No!" I protest. Jimin laughs, "I like the sound of that, I'll bring plates." "I'll bring my stomach." I smile widely at both of them. They roll their eyes in unison.

"Oh shoot I told the drama crew I would be early. I have to go, bye idiots!" I say as I grab my things and bolt to the school theater.
"HEY WE'RE NOT IDIOTS!" Jimin shouts.
<-------------------------------------------------------------------------------->
As I get to the double doors I stop to catch my breath. "God damn it, why is the cafe so far away from the theater." I groan as I open one of the doors. "I'm not sure why." The president, Eunbyeol, grins whilst standing in front of me. My eyes go wide, "I am so sorry I got distracted while I was helping another student with school wor-" "Hey, it's fine. We haven't even started. Just sit down." She smiles and goes back inside. I frown as I take a seat. This is the only class that I actually enjoy, I can't risk losing my writer position because I'm late every now and then. I look up and notice that there are way more people than usual. Actually, that's not true, I've never paid attention to the people in here except for the higher-ups. I'm usually shutting everyone out of my world.
"Okay," Eunbyeol smiles "So the last drama production was a success. We had approximately 600 people excluding our own members in the audience. The food ran out giving us around 370 dollars. And there were many positive comments from our audience. So now we have to work on our next production."
She turns to face my side or the table. "Writers, I need you to come up with potential ideas, themes, whatever little thing comes to your mind make sure to write it down. This time, I need all of you to socialize," She looks at me while smiling. "Make sure you all help each other expand on your ideas."
Eunbyeol turns to the Vice President, Seungmin. He smiles at the other corner of people, "Concessions team, I need you to figure out orders of what food item sold out first and order more of that, figure out what was somewhat least favorable and replace it with something new that you believe could sell."
Eunbyeol and Seungmin stand up. "That'll be all," she smiles and they both exit backstage. I sigh and lean back in my seat. I've never worked with someone else when it comes to writing. If that happens in class, I usually tell my partner I'll do it by myself and they can just relax. I just don't.like.working.with.people. And why did Eunbyeol look at me when she said socialize? I feel attacked.
"Hoseok!"
I shake my head in surprise. "Y-yes?" "I've called your name like five times." Yerum laughs. She's one of the Senior Writers and probably the only one I talk to in my team. "Okay so let's start small, I'll put you all in groups of two since we have an even number of members. I'll be with..." Why did we have to be even? I frown at that thought, I could have been working by myself if we were odd. "...and Hoseok you will be with Yoongi." Everyone cheers as most got partnered with their friends.
~Ring~
I sigh as I get up from my seat. I don't even know who Yoongi is. I suddenly feel a tap on my shoulder and turn around to face some kid with black hair holding his phone out at me. I wait for him to say something. He raises his eyebrow, "Uh your number." "Uh I don't know you." I mimic his tone of voice and start putting my stuff away. "I'm Yoongi, and we need to be in contact for the writing assignment." I sigh and turn to look at him, "Look Yoongi, I work alone so if we can just ask Yerum to-" "I don't like help either but I'm not going to risk this for my sanity. Number." He shoves the phone back on my face. I roll my eyes and put in my number giving the phone back to him. "I'll text you if I get an idea." It seems like he attempted to smile. Yoongi turns to leave as I put on my backpack.
Guess there are people like me.
