Author's Pov

"Sooo..how are you liking it so far?"

   "Umm..it's okay. It's just that there's a few weird mobians."

"Oh." Was all he said

"Yea.." she trailed off. After that it was quiet. It wasn't the awkward quiet. It was the relaxing, calm kind. The one where you don't need to say anything or something like that. And probably not because they just met, but because they felt something for each other. But what exactly did they feel?

After a few minutes, they arrived at her house. It was a simple one-story white brick house. It had a small side walk on the side of it that led to a small white wooden gate which most likely leads to a backyard.

Espio was the first to speak up. "I guess this is it."

"Yea." She replied. She started to walk towards her house.

That's when he couldn't hold it in anymore. "Wait!"

"Hmm?" She turned around and eyed him. "What's up?"

He started to freak out, mentally cursing at himself as to where all that confidence came from.

Now dont get him wrong, it's not like he never had any in the beginning. He has to have some of course since he's a ninja in training after all. But this wasn't about work. No. This was about girls. He never really understood girls. It's not like any boy did. He wasn't trained for it atleast. And it's not like he can spy-

"Espio!"

He shakes his head, snapping out of his thoughts looking at the one who yelled his name. Only to see that he really didn't need to look anywhere really.

Cause she was in his face. Literally.

To the point their nose was touching. It's not like he didn't mind. He was just taken by surprise. And nor did she. She enjoyed it actually. The way his cheeks were flushed with color, his golden eyes widen with shock. His breathing was uneven due to how close they were.

And boy did she love it.

She enjoyed it, knowing she had this affect on him. It made her happy, making her think that there was a possible chance of being with him. But she decided to play it off cool and pretend that she didn't know what was going on. "Are you okay?"

He blinked. Quickly, he took a step back and rubbed his eyes with his hands. "Umm..yea. I'm okay. I think."

She nodded in response. "Alright. I'll be taking my leave now."

This was a now or never chance for the both of them. But it takes some balls to say it to someone you just met. "There's this party I'm going to tonight. It's going to be hosted by Manic, Sonic's brother." He paused and took a deep breath making eye contact with her. "Blaze would you like to got the party with me?"

There was silence before she answered him. "With you?"

"Yes."

"Like beside you?"

"Yes."

"Like-"

"Yes!" He yelled. He took a deep breath apologising to the girl infront of him. 'God girls are so weird.'  He thought. "So will you?"

She blushed and let out a soft giggle. "I would love to. What time?"

"Be ready by 8."

"Bye."

"...Bye."
