Laviñia's P.O.V.

"This place was owned by my family for five generations now. Lefeti winery has been my life and this is what I am trained for." Wika ni Greyson habang minamasdan namin ang malawak na taniman ng grapes. We just finished the tour in the whole place and I admit this winery is really huge than I expected it to be.

"I've always wanted to see a winery buy we never have one in Rouen. I know it sounds weird but I really didn't get a chance to go out of town much." Tumuon ang mata ko sa kulay pulang likido na nasa loob ng crystal na basong hawak ko. I missing a lot in my life to be honest. I'm too focus on my job and my responsibility that I have already forgotten that there are far more beautiful things beyond that. Funny, for I would never realize it if I wasn't 'almost' killed.

I can feel Greyson's eyes surveyed me with curiosity. "So, what exactly do you do for a living?" Tanong nito. "I've been wondering, are those poisonous needle your source of income?"

Mula sa wine ay bumaling ang tingin ko kay Greyson. "It's just a hobby, something to keep myself busy when I am not working."

"Poisonous needles for a hobby? I think I'll pass." Nakangiting wika nito.

"Nah, not that needles, I mean studying about poisonous plants and ways how we can use them to cure sickness." Paliwanag ko rito. "Earning from it is really not my plan until a pharmaceutical company notice me and my studies."

Kumunot ang noo nito sa sinabi ko. "Big pharma companies huh? Do you think it has something to do why those people are after you?" He pointed out.

Napabuntong hininga na lang ako. "Pyro concluded that too but I really don't think it has something to do with it. I mean, wala akong taong nasasagasaan sa ginagawa ko. I am not even using the money I'm earning from it in personal stuffs. I'm donating it to the local farmers to help them or atleast provide a financial assistance for thier families."

"Wow, what are you a philanthropist?" He look at me with an unbelievable looks on his face.

"I'm not, besides I'm not giving them the money. I'm buying high end farming machinery and allowing them to borrow it to kinda lessen the hardwork. It is useful, specially to those small farmers." Paliwanag ko rito. Napangiti ako ng maalala ang mga small scale farmer na natulungan ko. I did it in purpose actually. Our small town is doing really okay then climate change happened. Most farmers sadly needed to burn down their crops during summer season due to the drought and its been happening for the past three years now.

To make the situation worst a real estate company offered the small famers to buy their land and lots of them are really getting attracted to the offer already, that's when I decided to use the money I am earning from those poison I invented to help the local farmers and — I blink. That's it!

Napatayo ako mula sa kinauupuan ko dahilan upang mapalingon si Greyson sa akin. "What's the matter?" Naaalarmang tanong nito.

Nabaling ang tingin ko rito. "It think that's it! I think I knew who could be behind all of this."

Napangisi ito sa sinabi ko. "Really? That's great. I'll go and call Pyro, then we'll discuss this in my library."

Tumango ako rito saka nagpatiunang humakbang papasok ng mansion. Kuyom ang kamao ko sa galit. That son of a bitch! How could he? Isang ngisi ang gumuhit sa labi ko habang tinatalunton ang hagdan paakyat sa ikalawang palapag ng bahay kung nasaan naroon ang library. That man, he is going to wish that he haven't born at all.

Pyro's P.O.V.

"How sure are you that it would be the town mayor?" Tanong ko kay Laviñia. She has that adorable irritated look on her face and I can't definitely stop myself from being turned on despite of the situation. I can't help it, our mate is simply stunning without even trying.

"His family business are real estates. Purchasing lands and developing it into huge subdivisions." She huff. "That man is beyond unreasonable! I swear once I got my hand on him. He will be my lab rat and I'm gonna used all of my poison combine before killi—.

Okay maybe not adorable, she's deadly adorable. "Hold on right there missy, I'm a violent person too but what you are talking about is just too heinous."

Umere ang mga mata nito sa sinabi ko. Isn't she a fiery little one. She's like her needle, small but poisonous.

"He ordered his men to kill me!" She argued while pointing her fingers on her. Standing on her seat and walks back and fort in front of us. My wolf is growling at me at the thought that our mate almost died.

"Easy right there Laviñia. We cannot fix anything if you keep on blabbering on how you plan on killing him and first thing first, we are not even sure yet that he is the one who's behind it." Kalmadong wika ni Greyson. But upon looking on how he is clenching knuckles I can clearly tell how much he is holding himself. His wolf surely wanted the blood of the man who dared to harm our mate.

Laviñia face us with an angry look on her face. "Keep calm?" Tila hindi makapaniwalang balik tanong nito. "That demon currently have Rylan and fuck I can't even think what they are doing right now to him!"

Tumayo ako sa upuan ko at saka lumapit dito. I hold her near me, I'm her mate. My presence can surely calm her only I'm not sure if it is the same thing for human but for werewolfs it is surely a thing.

Bumaling sa sakin ang tingin ni Laviñia. Surprisingly, she takes a deep breath and lean on my chest. Finding warmth on it. Napangiti ako. Mate bonds works the same in humans too.
