Chapter 13.
"You are out of your god damn mind!" Camille screeched, and I quickly reached over to cover her mouth before she woke up anybody and spoiled my entire plan.
"Camille, I swear if you don't keep your voice down, I'm going to melt and seal your lips together is that clear?" I warned and she nodded quickly. "Good."
"How do you expect to pull that off?" she grabbed my hand and pulled it away from her mouth so she was no longer muffled. "Earth is a garbage planet with no life except the worst of the worst Cursed prisoners. It was established years ago and The Garden won't hesitate to put you there if they must."
"I'm not going to prison." I shook my head. "Phantom has only a few of its space ships left to travel to Earth and they're pieces of garbage. The Garden has thousands. I'll make a deal with Bane once the war is over to get me one of the ships to get me there."
"I don't understand though." Camille shook her head as she came to the realization. "The ships are only large enough for a one-way trip. If you go there the only way for you to come back would be to get fuel at the prison."
I smiled softly at her looking down at the ground because I knew what that meant. We both knew the engineering The Garden had, but it could only take me so far. I had a gut feeling that if Bane got exactly what he wanted he wouldn't keep it for long. The Blessed would rise up and it would once again be a slaughter. I wanted to be long gone because once the Royals got their power back the first thing they would do, would be to execute me.
Camille's face dropped. "You won't be coming back."
"No." I shook my head, reaching over to grip her hands. "If I'm taken to the Royal family I'll be made into an example, and I don't even want to know what kind of life that would mean for me. This is the better option for me because not only will I free myself from the dreaded politics that is this planet, but you'll have the opportunity to find your family in The Garden."
"You're abandoning me." Tears welled up in her eyes. "You always said I would only slow you down, so you're just throwing me over the Soul River and forgetting about me."
"I will never forget about you, Camille." I needed to stay strong, because not once had a tear escaped my eyes, and I was not going to let it happen now. "I'm throwing you over the Soul River to protect you."
"What if this plan doesn't work? What about Wynter and Thorne?"
"This plan doesn't include them in the slightest. Once they learn that I'm siding Bane as the complete opposite of them they'll forget I ever existed." I looked down at my hands. "You'll have a life Camille, and once the war and me leaving are all over it will go back to exactly what it is now. This will only be a hiccup and I'll be out of your life."
"But I don't want you out of my life." Camille was now crying, tears streaming down her face as if it were a rushing river.
"And I don't want you out of mine." I hugged her tightly, my arms wrapping around her skinny body. "But I don't want to die and I want you to live a life where I'm not holding you back."
"I understand." She released me, bringing her hand up to wipe her eyes and her dripping nose. "What's the plan?"
I smirked at her, knowing that this plan will be a little more complicated than she would think. All we had to do was get through this week.

If I got an aura for every time I wanted to punch sideburn man in the face, I would be rich off of it. Though I didn't really know the extent and price of those colorful and unique coins, I had a feeling having hundreds of it would at least make me close to being wealthy. However, to be able to keep my poker face and my plan is hidden, I had to play the ultimate game. It was called, fake it until I survive this training session.
