Chapter 6

Hyejin's P.O.V.

I look at him as he looks back at me. I couldn't believe that he was right in front of me. "Ohh, hi Jungkook," Song Yi waved at him awkwardly. Yeah, we didn't expect that. I hide my face with my bare hand. I just want to hide somewhere.

"I am sorry but I gotta go," I want to cry. I grab my backpack and run outside. Why things turn out like this? I just embarrass myself.

"Hyejin!" I heard Jungkook shout out my name. I pretend that I didn't hear that but I have short legs so he catches me up so soon. He stands right in front of me, blocking my way. I could hear his heavy breath. 

I don't dare to look into his eyes so I just look down at the tip of my shoes. "Hyejin?" he called out my name again. 

"I am sorry cause I eavesdrop your conversation with Do Hyun's girlfriend. I just happen to be in that cafe when I saw you. I went to your table and overhear it. I am sorry," he asked for an apology. 

"Nah, it's not your fault. You may go now," I went to the right side and got to passed by him. "Is that why you don't want to meet me when I asked you out?" he asked out of sudden. I stop my walk again. "Because you think I have a girlfriend?" he asked again but I don't give him any answer. 

I take a deep breath before turn around to him. "N-Nah..." before I get to say anything, he walked straight to me. We're so close. Due to his height, I tilted my neck to look at him. 

"Hyejin, I really want to get to know you. I think.... I have a crush on you. I like you," he confessed. I look into his doe-eyes. It was so pure. I got melt just by looking into his eyes. 

"Are you serious? Why would you like me? They are many girls who look better than me," I fight him back. He didn't flinch as I expect he would.

"But you're the only one who makes my heart go crazy. Looks, we may just meet each other but I couldn't stop thinking about you. I really want to get to know you. I wanna go out with you," he looks straight into my eyes, confidently. Oh my gosh, why are you doing this to me.

I have a mix feeling. I am so happy to hear it but at the same time, I am scared. Should I give it a try?

"Will you?" he asked me again with his soft voice. What should I do?

"Y-You just confess to me out of blue. I don't know what to respond. I need time to think about it," that is the safest answer so far.

"Okay, at least you give it some thought. I know its kinda rush if I ask you to be my g--..," he widened his eyes as he almost slipped off.

"I hope that you will agree to go out with me hehe..," he laugh as he stretched back of his neck.

As soon as I arrived home, I went straight to my bed. My cheek still burns from what happened before. JUNGKOOK ASK ME OUT? Like-- am I dreaming right now?!

It's been a while since someone asks me out. I feel flutter when he looks at me. My heart goes crazy when he confessed to me when he said he likes me.

What if I got hurt again? Like what he did?

I stare at my polaroid collection, right on my bedroom wall. I got a few polaroids stuck on the wall. Most are polaroids of my family and friends. It holds many memories that happened in my life. And there is one polaroid on the left bottom.

It was a photo of me and Jinyoung, on our graduation day. I used to hang a bunch of polaroids of us on the wall but after we broke up, I take it down. It's hurt but I need to move on. I haven't heard from him since that night, but I am sure he is doing well with his girlfriend.

It's been like one year since that happened but I am such fool for waiting for him. I wished every day, for the past one year, that he'll come back to me. I still couldn't believe the facts that he will leave me because of another girl. It wasn't so him but people do changes.

I guess it's time for me to move on. I do have a crush on Jungkook so why not? Let's give it a try.

Let's meet up tonight

From far, I could saw him. He was waiting at the playground park located on the other side of the convenience store. He didn't realized I was right behind him cause his back is facing me.

"Jeon Jungkook," I called out his name. We are only a few steps apart. He turns around and a bright smile appears on his face.

"Hi Hyejin," he looks nervous for some reason. I asked to meet him cause I want to tell him my answer.

"I want to tell you my answer to your question last afternoon," I take a deep breath again. I know I can do well.

"Really? I am excited yet nervous. Please don't be pressured. Yeaa... what is your answer?" he can't hide his nervous anymore. He keeps biting his lips.

"Yes, let's do it. I wanna go out with you too," finally I said it. His lips curve a smile much brighter than before. Within a few seconds, he went straight to me and put me in his hug. I feel so warm. We are in that position for a few more seconds before he realized it.

"Opss, I am sorry if I make you uncomfortable," he take a few steps backward. He was blushing. He is so cute.

"Btw, thank you for agreeing to go out with me. I can't wait for our date," he winks at me. Please stop it Jungkook. You make me go crazy.
