kerrin | keri.

Keri was sitting on her bed, nodding to some music she was listening to from her phone when there a series of multiple banging on her door.

Her brows furrowed, taking out one ear bud as she pauses her music. She scooted off her bed and straightened her dark grey oversized sweatshirt before opening the door.

There stood her mother.

"Chile, do you hear me banging on this door?! I call you three times, Keri Janice!" Her mom yelled as Keri scratches the back of her head.

"I'm sorry mom, just I had my music too loud and thought it was something else." Keri apologized, shrugging her shoulders afterwards.

"Mhm ok, you need to turn that music down then!" Eugena told her as Keri nodded her head.

"Yes ma'am." She was about to close her door until her mother's foot blocked it.

"Come out here and meet the new neighbor, lady." Her mom tells her before walking down the hall and entering the living room where she could her a TV playing.

Keri let out a sigh. She wasn't in a mood to meet new people. It ain't like she's shy or anything, just she would love to get back to what she was doing and that's chilling.

But before her mom could come back to tell her again, Keri walked to the living room and stood in the doorway. On the couch, she spot a girl who had light skin and her hair was a platinum blonde which she found was nice. She look away from the TV and smiled, waving at her.

Just from that, she can tell she is too sweet.

"Oh, Bianca this is my daughter. Keri, this is Bianca. She's our new neighbor." Eugena pointed at her as Keri waved.

"Nice to meet you."
Keri smirked.

"Same here. My mom couldn't come over due to being busy with other things but, she promised that she will stop by once she is finished." Bianca nodded her head.

"Where you moved from?" Keri asked.

"Calumet City. Before we could move, my mom were looking for other places to stay. She didn't want to live with any of her relatives. She kept looking until she found this nice house in Matteson. We moved before it became the first." Bianca answered.

"Yeah, Matteson have some beautiful houses. You like yours?"

"More like love it. It's our first time staying in a big house and my mom don't know how to act!" Bianca laughs a bit before continuing.

"But I'm the same way though, God really bless us and I don't know many times I've said thanks."

Keri chuckled.
"Well, you know he is always good. But I am glad you're loving your place and again, I'm glad I met you. You're very nice."

Bianca shrugged.
"I tried. I sometimes think my niceness becomes a bother to people."

"What? How can they be bothered by a kind soul? I swear. People nowadays. It is so rare to find someone that has that energy you have."
Keri said.

Bianca nodded, understanding.
"You're right. Am I like the only nice girl here?"

"There are a few, including myself. People think I look mean but I'm actually nice girl once you get to know me."
Keri smiled.

"You're my friend already." Bianca and Keri shared a laugh as Eugena enters the living room. She came from the kitchen that connect to it.

"I see you two are getting along already." Eugena smiled, looking at both girls.

"Yep, like she said, we're already friends." Keri laughed as Bianca smiles, nodding her head.

I know the beginning is short but, I hope you enjoyed it!

How did I do? Please be honest.

And if you notice I did unpublish the book to make a few changes.

There's more to come though!

Lots of love, Deanna/Dee. ❤
