Standing in front of the school, I took a deep breath and held on tightly to my backpack handle as I begin walking to the entrance.

My mom had just drop me off and it felt like I have been standing out there for hours. But I'm not going to let any negative thoughts ruin my day. I had to make it my best.

"Hello, Hillcrest high." One of the ladies who were behind the desk in the main office answered a call as I walk in, sitting in one of the chairs.

I thought I was going to wait until one of them get off the phone until a lady came from the back and towards me. "Hello, you must be our new student, Bianca Perry?" She asked, wondering if she said my name correctly.

I nod as I smiled, shaking her hand.
"Yes ma'am, that's me."

"It's wonderful to have you here. You're going to love Hillcrest."
She assured me.

"When your mom came yesterday, she mentioned y'all new here. How you like it?" She asked me as we were walking to my class.

"It's really nice. Honestly, it's better than what I came from. I met a girl and we became friends quick. Her name is Keri."
I answered, looking at the lockers.

"Keri Owens? She's an excellent student. Beyond that actually. You are going to be in her class." She told me as I smiled.

The walk wasn't long cause my class is when you first make a turn.

Principal Atkins knock on the door as I stood aside her.

"Chelsea, stop praying that strong stuff. You already got one of your classmates sneezing." I heard the teacher from behind say as some of the class laughed.

"Hello, principal, what's going on?" The teacher asked once opened the door. Her eyes went from her to me.

"You have a new student. Her name is Bianca Perry."
The principal introduce me.

"Okay, okay, welcome Miss Perry! You rocking that blonde, girl. My name is Mrs. Gilmore but you can call me Mrs. G." She introduces herself, stretching her hand out for me to shake.

"Cool, Mrs. G."
I said in between laughter as I shake her hand.

I'm loving this school already. It's better than the schools I have attended to before.

"So pretty, come on in and introduce yourself to the class." I nod, walking past her as I stood in front of the class.

I look at each and every student, including Keri who smiled at me.

"I'm glad I got y'all attention. We have a new student and her name is Bianca Perry. Bianca?" Mrs. G look at me, giving me the signal to continue where she left off.

"Hi, everyone."
I waved, smirking.

"What's good, Bianca?" They all said in unison, smiles plastered across their faces.

My eyes widened as I look at my teacher.

"If you were expecting a dry greeting, I don't tolerate that. In this class, we greet like we already cool with each other. So expect a lot of love and support from your peers." She told me as I nod, taking in every word she said.
