Let's join class 1-A in the waiting room as they prepare for the festival which is mere minutes away.
Midoriya is sitting talking with Uraraka and Iida waiting for the anouncment that the festival is about to begin, when class emo Todoroki approaches them.
Todoroki: "Midoriya."
Midoriya turns and looks at Todoroki slightly flustered at the fact Todoroki has even spoken, to like anyone.
Todoroki: "It's clear I'm stronger but you have All Might backing you up in your corner. I will defeat you in this festival."
Sero: "Woah Todoroki is declaring war? And on Midoriya?"
Bakugo: "What the Hell icy hot am I just to fucking ignore! I'll beat your ass so watch your fucking back."
Todoroki is unfazed by Bakugo's out burst, and just starts to walk away when.
Midoriya: "Todoroki. I don't know why you feel the need to go ahead and declare war like that but I won't take this sitting down. If you come at me with your full strength then I will too."
Todoroki never letting his face show emotion simply nods and continues to walk away when once again he is stopped by something.
Present Mic over the speakers: "Hey hey hey the festival is about to start."
Aizawa: "How did you get me in here?"
Jojo: "The better question is how did he convince me?"
Everyone sweat drops at their homeroom teachers before heading out.
As 1-A exits on to field they receive a energetic introduction from Mic but as he goes around to the other classes he gets less and less energetic and just says and other near the end. They all crowd in front of a podium where their referee steps up and it's none other than Midnight in the most revealing clothes she could legally wear to a school event.
Midnight: "Now before we begin I would like two people to come up to the podium. One is Izuku Midoriya for the opening speech and the other is a special guest who will be joining me as referee for the first year students. Can everyone give a warm welcome to the number 1 hero of France the Silver Swordsman, Mr. Jean Pierre Polnareff!"
The crowd erupts with cheers as Polnareff runs out on to the podium waving before striking his signature pose.

Polnareff: "Thank you all for that wonderful welcome. I came a long way to Japan to help a friend and now I thought I'd stay for a bit and help out at the UA Sports Festival."
