Midoriya vs Todoroki

Midoriya steps into the ring as Present Mic starts to introduce them.

Present Mic: "Now on to the quarter finals. On one side we have the ice prince, the son of Endeavor, the student who has only use part of his quirk so far, Shoto Todoroki! and on the other side he maybe adorable, but don't under estimate his power one flick of his finger could knock you clear from the ring. It's Izuku Midoriya! Lets have an exciting battle."

Polnareff: "Now I'm sure I don't need to remind you two of the rules, but for everyone watching it's seems fair to remind them, just in case. These are 1 vs 1 matches, each match last until either one student is unable to continue, knocked out of the ring or me or the teachers feel the need to step in. Ties are decided with a different event such as arm wrestling."

Midnight: "Now with that being said. Let the match."

In Midoriya's head: 'He'll start with an ice blast.'

Midnight: "Begin!"

As Midoriya predicted Todoroki unleashed a wave of ice with the intent to immobilize him. Midoriya calmly folds his arms, leaving everyone confused, but right before the ice can reach him it shatters from a powerful and sparkly laser, which appeared about a foot in front of Midoriya. Todoroki quickly dodges the laser as it flies past him slamming into the arena wall behind him.

Todoroki: "That was -"

Midoriya: "Aoyama's naval laser. I asked him to give me a few. After all I felt a bit bad he got so easily beat by Ashido, he never got time to really show off his quirk. This is the next best thing right?"

Midoriya glances up at the student stands and see Aoyama being Aoyama. Striking a pose with a rose in his teeth and sparkles surrounding him. Where did he even get that? 

Todoroki lets out an annoyed grunt, before unleashing another wave of ice bigger than before. Midoriya again seems unconcerned as another laser is fired out breaking the ice, forcing Todoroki to dodge again. Only this time he was ready quickly recovering and firing a second wave of ice. Midoriya takes a step to the side as a loud sound erupts from his side of the ring as the ice shatters from the sound and Todoroki covers his ears.

Todoroki: "That was from Jiro, when did you?"

Midoriya: "We had a week to prepare for the sports festival, I asked some of our classmates for some help. None of them really knew I asked others, but I think it all worked out fine."

Todoroki rushes at Midoriya using ice to move faster.

Midoriya unfolds his arms: "Trying to close the distance between us? Is that really that smart?"

Green Monkey fires another laser, which Todoroki barely dodges. Todoroki reaches for Midoriya only to be met by and explosion. Which cause Todoroki to be knocked back.

Todoroki: "Even Bakugo?"

Midoriya: "Kachan didn't really agree to help me but we sparred a couple of times in the week so I have a few saved up."

Queue angry shouts from Bakugo about how shitty Deku isn't aloud to use his quirk, yada yada. Midoriya sweat drops at this.

Midoriya: "I should have seen that coming. In all fairness, he has been fairly calm the past week, well calm of Kachan."

Midoriya glances at Bakugo now seeing Kirishima holding him from jumping into the ring. Midoriya's sweat drop grows bigger at the sight. The next thing Midoriya knew all he could see was darkness, and he was really cold.

From Todoroki's point of view he saw a distracted opponent and took his chance, doing the same thing he did to Sero, covering the entire opposite side of the arena with a massive glacier. There is a second of silence before Midnight asks the big question.
