"Welcome back, students" Queen Barbara Night, spread a charming smile across her face. The Principal of the school, the most beautiful of royalty, an intellectual when it comes to magic - She is loved by all, famously known by the name of "Barbie".  Her golden locks of hair fell down to her waist and a glowing starfish necklace was draped around her neck. Wearing a pink felt dress, ribbon tied in the back, with a flower crown adorning her hair, she gracefully walked down the glass staircase. Next to her, was her best friend and co-founder, Miss Kate. She was adored by the students for her extremely sweet ways, and involvement in all the activities. Even though Queen Barbie was busy, she was there to acknowledge the hardwork and dedication of the students.

The first years gazed at the graceful Queen, listening with rapt attention. "Royale High is a place for each one of you to grow, to expand your limits, to be bearers of your realm's culture and tradition. Excel and succeed in whatever you do, because you my students are the future. Carry your family's legacy as generations approach. Never lose hope." She ended.

Princess Hope scurried inside the castle. Her crimson red skirt was ironed, her long boots buckled and polished, everything was perfect. Except. She was late, on her first day!  Gasping for breath, she reached the lobby, a solid ten minutes after the Headmistress greeted the school. Her crystal suitcase flew in the air as she tripped down the aisle in between the staircases. Queen Barbie glanced at Hope. "Late, I suppose my dear?" Miss Kate, chuckled.

"I got caught up while packing. There was a bit of unwanted trash inside my suitcase, because SOMEONE wanted to test out all the flavors of the lollipops last year. And they decided to dump everything inside my suitcase." Hope glared at a girl wearing a rose pink gown with lush black pigtails. The gathering snickered.

"Whaaaat. It's your fault that you didn't clean out your suitcase before. And the lollipops are addicting. And I had no place to leave the wrappers."

"Nina!"  Hope crossed her arms. "There's a thing called a trashcan"

Nina is Hope's best friend and companion for life. They had countless adventures together, in the course of their stay in Royale High. You'd always see her wearing rose pink, and she always has a soft spot for reading. She may not seem wise, but her thoughts are said to be linked with powerful forces.

The headmistress smiled. "I can see that you all need quite some time. Miss Adore and Miss Alendra, do you mind showing a few of the first years around the campus?" she looked at Nina's excited eyes.

"Yess! Ofcourse!" Nina grabbed Hope's arm and rushed to the first years. "Actually Miss, we have to really set our dorm. I'm afraid we cannot help the first years today."

"Understandable. Hmm... By the way, Hope, your dormmate, Rose, has switched schools. Went to a magnificent new kingdom I believe. So you'll be sharing your dorm with..." Kate flipped through her registration booklet. "Riley Glimore!"

"Riley who?" Nina blinked her eyes. Hope's face beamed. "RILEY GLIMORE! My friend from everlook!"

"You went to Everlook!?" Nina gasped. Everlook was the training center located near orbville, a center for Royals, knights and warriors to train in their swordplay and weaponry. The youngsters learned to be skilled in the art of defense, attacks, and preparation - The clanging of swords and the striking of arrows and preparing princesses to be powerful.  Hope had to attend Everlook as a tradition of the royal family. And she enjoyed every second of it.

"Sure I did, and Riley is a skilled swordswoman. Her concentration, focus and dedication is something you and I should learn from. And trust me, she's a very fun person to be with. You both will get along!" Hope placed her arm on Nina's shoulder. "Sounds great, is she here yet?"

"No, Miss Glimore is yet to arrive." Miss Kate answers, walking towards the windows. "And I was quite surprised observing her sword skills. She's a master of the sword, I must say. Her aim and focus while pulling the arrows and handling the bow - I'm still astonished! Such a talented young girl." she gushed.

"And she's now my dormmate!" Hope squealed, dragging her suitcase. Kate warmly waved and went back to her duties. Sorting the students, accommodating them into their dorms, and explaining school rules. A lot of "wows" were heard constantly, the castle is such a dream. When it first meets anyone's eyes', the instant reactions are ones of awe.

"Hope, I'm going to go to set up my dorm. See you!" Nina rushed upstairs to her dorm with her belongings, her pink gown dragging behind. Hope giggled to herself, as she walked upstairs. The blue dorm door was glistening, as she turned the key inside the lock.

"Hope Adore. Princess of Adaowen, Future Queen and heir to the throne!" A voice thundered. A familiar voice. She felt a tap on her shoulder, as the key stayed fix into the lock. "Riley...?"

Riley Glimore had arrived. Her blonde strands of hair was tied in a ponytail, a shimmering light halo floated above her head. Rays of daylight shone on her freckled face and blue eyes. "Long time no see, huh?"

"RILEY! OH MY GOODNESS! I am so excited to see you again? How's your family back in Crindon?"

Riley Glimore, or rather, Princess Riley Glimore was the heir to the throne of Crindon, a golden empire situated north of Orbville. The kingdom was stunning, the palace entirely made of gold. Shining in the dark twilight after sunset, it was a magnificent view. Surely one that no Crindonian misses. The royal family thrived with prosperity as Crindon always stayed as the site for gold export.

"They're doing good, I've heard that Adaowen is doing great as well, and oh my this school is amazing!"

"Yeah it is! And seems like you've already made a good impression on some of the teachers!" Hope opened the dorm door. "Come in, Riley!"

The door was opened, and the girls entered the room. A warm fireplace crackling with flames was on the side. A small kitchen for late night emergencies, decked with fridges and mini stoves. Cozy bean bags and a wide screen TV stood next to a grand piano, and finally two couches, round tables, a tea set and kettles placed on top.

"Woah- This is really cool." Riley jumped on the beanbag "Weee!"

"Haha, yes it is. Here's your schedule, Miss Kate wanted me to give it to you. And it's sad that you joined when you're in your final year of schooling. You missed out a lot of fun"

"I beg to differ, The Academy of Crindon is a wonderful place" Riley read her long schedule of classes.
