The sun sparkled, it rays falling on the cozy warm bedsheets, wrapped around Nina's arms. An alarm clock ringed amidst deep slumber and loud snores. She stretched her arms, yawning as she silently stepped inside her dormmate's room. "U-Ushio?"

Ushio was dressed in a long frilly ruffled skirt, lace streaming down in the ends, pastel pink ribbons adorned her silky hair. She was busy scribbling away, a steaming hot cup of coffee right by her side. "Yes?"

"I'm sorry about yesterday, the porcelain cup - I- I bought you another one" Nina handed a cutely wrapped box with a huge white ribbon. Ushio beamed, as her hands stroked the velvet ribbon "Thank you so much Nina. Really it wasn't necessary-"

"You're just being nice. I know, it was my fault. I shouldn't have barged in like that. It was wrong of me."

"Awh Nina, its okay!" Ushio placed the beautifully wrapped box on her nightstand. "Sun's up!" The light peeped through the windows and flickered through draped curtains. Yawns and noises of clanging bells rang around the atmosphere. Sheets folded and arms stretched, the best clothing picked - school session was going to begin, very soon.

"So early too! I gotta get ready!" Nina shut Ushio's door. She trampled on the hallways, and turned the lock that shut her door close. 

Specks of dust floated in the sunlit room. The spa and showers were bustling with students brushing their locks of hair and powdering their faces. Picking out the 'best' outfit, and rambling about giving the best impression was very normal during first days. The Conversations filled with excitement echoed in the large room.

"I am so excited!! I just got my schedule and I have Princess OceanOrbs' class first!" A blonde haired girl with glittering golden eyes beamed. She was putting on fluffy white stockings to go with a pair of diamond boots.  Windows opened to the whistling air. "It's getting cold" she shivered.

"Yeah, Angel! I have Miss Ocean's class first too! This is going to be amazing!" 

The first years were ecstatic and didn't know what to expect. They knew that they needed to   work hard and follow the Royale code of conduct. But they weren't aware that Royale High is as of a race to the finish line - 'coronation'.  A competition for the highest grade, mark and impression.Only the best of students get coronated to the highest ranks, the extravagant of crowns. Everyone strived day and night to be the best. To live up to all  the standards Royale is known to bear.

Riley and Hope started the day with the a warm cup of rose tea - Riley's drink whipped with cream and over the top sugar cubes, Hope's drink sugar free. "It's Six 'o clock!" School bells rang aloud. Rush hour jostled as Students ran to enjoy warm breakfast served at the Cafe. Teachers greeted the students as they came down from their dorms. 

"Riley it's time for your first breakfast here" Nina giggled, as she glanced at Riley and Hope trotting down the glass staircase to the castle cafe. 

Riley grabbed a plate of pancakes dipped in syrup. The group saw the view of all the tables filled with students buzzing about classes, kingdoms, realms and friendships. Angel excitedly chattered about with her friends. "Headmistress Queen Barbie and Queen Kateka invited me to enroll here. I was beyond thrilled to spend my years in this huge school"

"You're saying me YOU walked all the way here!" a light fairy chipped. His wings flapped in the air as he took a seat at the table of first years. 

"Yes I did..." Angel sipped her cup of coffee. "That's- just imarkable of you. Walking all alone. Must be scary." he shuddered.

Angel looked at her new found friends. "Nah, I'm used to exploring places, Liam. Besides, its not scary if you're prepared for everything that you might come across." She answered. Angel walked and trekked hills for days to reach the school. Her persevence and determination and love for exploring got her there. She couldn't fly, her wings were injured in the start of the journey. But she succeeded.
