UA Beginnings

Ah, UA High. The number one Hero Course in the whole world. And you couldn't wait to get in there. You've been training for months, years even and now it was your time to shine. You had a pretty cool quirk all things considered and now, now was the time to use it like a pro. Your quirk: Dragon.

Essentially, you were born with orange scale like skin and at the age of 5, began breathing fire after eating food. The hotter the food, the more powerful blast. Later, you could also lift a lot heavier items, although there were some drawbacks. But that's for another time. Right now, now was the time to get ready for the UA entrance exam. A rigorous entrance exam meant to weed out the burnt and unworthy from the best of the best. You were hyped up.

Mom: Oh, my baby's going to UA!

(Y/N): Ah! Geez Mom! Relax and let me get to the test first!

Mom: Oh, but you could get hurt! Maybe take some extra armor or-

(Y/N): Mom. I have scales for skin. I'll be fine.

Mom: Oh, I know. Just, be careful.

(Y/N): I will. Love you, Mom.

Mom: Love you too, Baby!

With that, you took off. You lived at the base of the mountain that UA was on so the school always looked intimidating. But up close, now that was scary. The school was massive and you could barely see around the main building. As you were walking up to the school you heard a familiar yell and you turned back and smiled at you. Your two best friends from junior high, Mina Ashido, and Eijiro Kirishima.

Kirishima: (Y/N)! What's up man?!

(Y/N): My man! (Two high-five) What is up?!

Ashido: Hey, (Y/N).

(Y/N): Hey Ashido.

Ashido: Are you excited for this! I can't wait!

Kirishima: I don't know. It's going to be kinda tough.

(Y/N): Relax buddy. We got this one.

You began to do a little cocky dance while moving backwards to keep the conversation going. The three of you made some jokes here and there and were easing one another's nerves. However, you then felt yourself bump into someone else and almost fall to the ground. You the girl you bumped into and you attempted to catch her you then noticed, you both were hovering in the air.

The girl put her fingers together and you both stopped. You quickly landed and walked up to her.

(Y/N): Sorry. I didn't see where I was going. That's all my fault.

Uraraka: It's ok. My name is Ochaco Uraraka. Yours?

(Y/N): Oh, uh, (Y/N) (L/N). These are my friends...

You turned back around and saw that they were gone. You gave an awkward chuckle and turned back to Uraraka. She raised an eyebrow, asking what you were talking about. You rubbed the back of your neck, letting the awkward situation becomes more awkward.

(Y/N): I guess they bolted inside. Sorry, I didn't mean to-

Uraraka: It's fine! I mean, it's ok. Really. You weren't the first person I stopped from falling here. Well...I'll see you inside. Bye.

(Y/N): Yeah...bye.

You watched her run into the main lobby of the school. You were in a bit of awe. Zero Gravity quirk. Cool. She was nice and...no. Get that idea out of your head. You just met her. Sure, she was the only girl you ever talked to outside of Ashido and your family but...wow. Focus, (Y/N). You got a job to do here.
