After we sat there for what felt like hours, he finally looked up from the ground into my eyes and gave me a sad smile. And that was when he spoke. "I need you to listen to me very closely here, and to not speak a word until I am finished. When you were born, you were born into a family of power and wealth. You were born into the strongest and most dangerous family on this earth. You are not a mere teenage girl, but a warrior. You're parents were the leaders of all creatures, good and bad. I know you don't believe in shape shifters, or anything like that. I know you think that is all children's books and myths, but dear, those legends and myths you try so strongly to not believe in? Those myths are your world. They are the world you were born in to believe it or not. All those stories? The ones your parents would tell you at night? They are all true." he whispered at last.

I sat there for awhile, just thinking, staring at this beautiful boy in front of me, not knowing how to respond. It took me a minuet, but I finally realized he still hadn't answered my question. "Who. Are. You." I grunted out between clenched teeth. I cocked an eyebrow and ran my hand through my long messy hair, waiting for an answer. I was obviously pissing him off though because he let out a long sigh and a look of annoyance flashed across his face. "Do you care nothing about what I just said?! About who are?!" Now I was irritated, why could he not just answer my question? Why was it so difficult? "Now look here, I don't need you to tell me who I am, I know perfectly well who the hell I am. What i'm trying to ask is who the hell you are. You seem to keep forgetting that. So now, you have two seconds to tell me one who you are, and two why you came here. Hurry up."

I never thought I had seen someone so mad before, and I could tell I was going to get and ear ful once his mouth opened. He stood up and slammed his fist on the counter, causing me to jump. "If you must know, my name Calhoun. I am a high king, a man of power and you will not speak to me with such a tone from here on out. You will speak to me with respect. You may be the leader of our world, but that still gives you no right. The only reason you are even sitting here alive right now is because I protected you from those beasts out there. So now. I believe you owe me some form of an apology for your behavior."

"Fine. I apologize for my behavior earlier. Now get the hell out of my house. You say I am some all powerful leader, then I can defend myself. So go." I stood up, looking up into his bright green eyes. He looked at me and laughed. That idiot just laughed at me! "Oh dear you think you can defend yourself?? HAHAHAHA" he was laughing so hard tears were coming to his eyes. "Yes." I muttered. When he didn't make any move to leave, I shoved him as hard as I could against the wall, causing him to pause, and a look of pure rage tore across his face. All of a sudden, his bright green eyes started turning dark, eventually turning pitch black. He dropped to his knees and looked up at me, his face full of pain and rage. I hear this guttural noise coming from deep in his chest, and it finally reached his lips, pouring out into a growl so fierce I shrunk back against the counter behind my back.

Before I could even register as to what was happening, the biggest animal I had ever seen was standing in front of me. I was looking eye to eye with a jet black wolf on steroids. The green eyes of the boy I saw just moments ago was replaced with the eyes of a beast, black with a ring of deep green. In my head it was like I could hear his voice perfectly when he whispered "I'm nothing compared to what is out there my dear.."
