~Chapter Twelve~

Connor's POV

I was sitting at my desk. Two trouble makers headed towards the shelves "Hah look at this!" one said. The other laughed "Haha" Ricky yelled "Shut up guys!" Someone dropped a bottle and the other guy shoved him "NICE GOING!" he yelled. Something fell and a fire started. Everyone started screaming. They started running out the doors, I didn't. I felt frozen. I finally snapped out of it and got up pushing towards the door. I found Ricky and he got in front of me. He piled out the door and then a piece of burning wood fell in front of me. I was the only one left. "HELP!" I screamed.

Kylie's POV

Everyone ran out of the room. I scanned the room for Connor but he was nowhere to be found. I saw Ricky. "Guys go out I'm coming!" I said to my friends. "Okay be careful!" Quinn said. "What she said!" Aubrey responded. Suki hugged me and they ran out. I ran up to Ricky. "Where's Connor?!" I asked. "H- He was behind me.." He responded looking puzzled. I nodded. "It's okay I'll find him." I said and rushed toward Science Lab. The Firefighters got there and got the hose towards the lab. "HELP!" I heard. I knew it was Connor. "Get back!" a firefighter yelled at me. One opened the door and started spraying water. I ran past the firefighter who was blocking me. I jumped inside the door.

I found Connor in the corner that was being surrounded. It was the only place to go. I coughed. "Connor!" I yelled. "KYLIE?" He yelled back. I found him and hugged him. "We have to get out. Follow me!" I yelled. I grabbed his hand an started towards the door A piece of burning ash fell on his shirt. "AHHH!" I heard. His shirt sleeve was on fire. He took his shirt off and we ran for the door. The firefighters sprayed the door an around it down and we got out.

I wrapped my arms around him. "ow" I heard him say. He had a burn on his arm. "Oh I'm sorry! Are you okay?" I asked. "Yeah. I'll be fine." The EMT ran over to us. "Let's treat that burn." the EMT said. "Can you get my jacket please?" He asked. "Sure. Be right back." She treated Connor's burn and I got him his jacket from his locker. My friends ran at me. "DUDE!" Suki yelled at me. I met up with them. "Are you crazy?!" Aubrey asked. "You could have killed yourself!" Quinn added. "But I didn't." I said and laughed. They hugged me. "My mom's here ready to go?" Aubrey asked. "I'm gonna stay with Connor, catch up later." I said. They nodded and left. A firefighter from earlier approached me. "Hi...?" I said. "Hello." He said. "I just wanted to tell you that was a stupid-" "But brave thing you did earlier." He said. "Thanks I think." I said. He nodded and walked away. I walked to Connor.

"Hey you okay?" I asked and handed him his jacket. The EMT finished and left. "Yep, just a second degree burn it should heal soon." He said. "Okay good." I said. "Ready?" I asked. "Sure." I said. "Want me to drive your car?" I asked. "Okay." He said. We got in and I started it and drove to his house.

We got there and I turned the car off. I walked him inside. "I'll text you later." He said. "I'm gonna take a nap." he said. "Okay. Talk to you later." I said. I grabbed my backpack and penny-board and skated to Quinn's. We hung out and did homework then I went home.

I showered and changed and watched some tv.
