~Chapter Sixteen~

Kylie's POV

"Quinn!" I yelled as I got out of pajamas and threw my dirty clothes back on. "Wha.." She said as she looked up. I could tell she saw my eyes tearing up. I was worried. Really worried. She got up. "What's going on?!" Quinn asked. "It's Aubrey she's in the ER we need to go." I said. "Oh god, okay." She said. She ran to her drawers and grabbed some jean shorts and a Bethany Mota sweatshirt from her closet. I threw my shoes on, she put on her flip-flops. "We can't walk I'll ask my mom if we can borrow the car." She walked into her moms room. Not even a minute later she came out with the keys. "I'll drive." I said. We ran to the car and got in. It was pitch black. I started the car and backed out of the driveway. "Call Suki." I said into my iPhone.

"How is she?" I asked, my voice was cracking, I was about to cry. "They have to run tests but she's sleeping now." She sounded like she had been crying. "Do they know if she will be okay??" I asked. "They don't know what's going on yet." She was breaking down. "Okay. She's a fighter Suki she'll be fine." I said, someone needed to try to be positive. Suki started to cry. "Yeah." She managed to get out. "Do you want me to get anything?" I asked. "I need coffee, we all do." she said. "Okay text me what you guys want. I'll run through Starbucks." I said. "Okay." She said. "She'll be okay Sooks." I said and hung up. I texted Connor and let him know.

We drove towards Starbucks and I fille Quinn in. I ordered for Suki and her family and Quinn and me. Then we drove to the hospital. We got there and went into the waiting room where we found Suki. I hugged her and handed her coffee. "Are we allowed to see her yet?" I asked. "Yeah come on." She said and we walked back.

We walked into the room and Aubrey and Suki's parents stepped out. I walked over to Aubrey. She looked so pale. Where she hit her head was bruised and covered in gauze. "Explain what happened Sooks." I said. When Connor dropped us off we went inside and Aubrey said she was gonna take a nap so we went into our rooms and she woke up at like 2 am hungry.. So we went downstairs and ate cereal and stuff. Then it was a little after 4 and we went to walk up the stairs. She was ahead of me and she started to walk like she was dizzy and then she fell and hit her head on a step." She said. "Oh." Me and Quinn said. I was trying to figure out what was going on in my head. We sat silent for a while and Suki and Aubrey's parents walked back in followed by a doctor. The doctor told us that there were some drugs in her system and a large dose was making her dizzy and tired. The doctor talked to their parents and they figured out what it was. A prescription prescribed to Aubrey by her doctor was too large of a dose for her weight. She was going to be alright. We were all relieved and waited for Aubrey to wake up. It was now 6:15. I heard a loud groan from near the hospital bed. "AUBREY!" I yelled. Everyone said hi to her and hugged her. "Ew what am I wearing.." She asked with a face. We laughed and sat down. A few minutes later we asked her about the prescription. "When did you take that prescription Aubrey?" Suki asked. "Um before the beach.... and when I woke up before we ate around 2." Aubrey said. That was right before everything happened.. At least she was going to be okay. I let Connor know and they discharged Aubrey a few hours later. We all went back to Aubrey and Suki's house and I brought the car back to Quinn's house. We all hung out there and slept.

I sat by the window while everyone was sleeping. I just realized how life can end at any time. How you have to live doing what you want to do. How you have to tell people how you feel. I just learned that I was taking everything for granted. "I'm done doing that now." I whispered to myself.
