Ah, what a great day. The swellows are chirping, weedles are crawling, and training for Kylie had begun. She and her friend Shriek were preparing for their new lives in the wild. Of course, they stayed in the city, so it shouldn't have been too hard. Nonetheless, they had to be ready. Kylie had started to stretch when she heard the bushes shake.
"What was that?" She asked Shriek.
"Don't know. Want to find out?" Shriek replied.
Kylie smiled daringly and approached the bush. She could smell another pokemon in there. What made it weird was the smell. It was like her own, but more like a fireplace. She sat there, enjoying it when suddenly, an inferno nearly hit her. Kylie dodged out of the way, making sure nothing was burned.
"What was that?" Shriek cried.
"Uh, my guess would be it was a fire blast." Kylie said, fairly shaken up.
Kylie sat for a bit for her to take in what she had nearly had happen to her. It was simple, she was only centimeters away from being turned into a grilled espeon. Perhaps it was an accident. I did sneak over there, after all. She shrugged it off and got up.
"So, are we going to be training today, or no?" Shriek asked.
"Oh, yeah, sorry." Kylie replied, rubbing her head with a lavender-colored paw.
After a few training battles, they finally prepared to head back. Not too long after they were on their way did they see something dart down an alley. Kylie, being brave as she was, went to check it out, while Shriek watched. There was a rustle in the dumpster when she past a door. Once she approached it, she got a big surprise.
"Ah!" A voice yelled, shooting another fire blast, this time nearly hitting Kylie's face.
She recoiled back, barely missing the flames, yet feeling the heat. Shriek raced over and saw that Kylie had a few singed furs, but nothing more. Kylie got up, ready to attack whoever it was. This is the second time today! She thought savagely. Without warning, the pokemon in the dumpster got out and darted out of the alley. All she saw was a flash of orange fur and eyes that glimmered like sapphires.
"What was that?" Shriek asked, turning to see.
"I don't know, but if I find out, they are as good as dead." Kylie snarled.
The shadow of the same pokemon appeared around the corner. Kylie watched it as it drew closer. Then, about twenty feet away, it stopped. The pokemon whispered something, then turned and ran off.
"Hey!" Kylie finally shouted. "Watch the head!"
