"I'm really not sure if I want you to live on your own yet." My mother said as she helped me packed my stuff.

"Mom I'll be fine I promise I know I'll be across the country, but trust me if anything happens you'll know."

"Oh of course I'll know I'll still keep a close eye on you." She said as we got done packing. "It's just your not a little girl anymore you want to finish high school, and it was my fault I didn't let you finish so I forced you to drop out just so you can focus more on being a princess."

It's true I am born in the royal family I'm basically the 100th empress in line after my grandmother died of cancer my mother refused to take the throne as next the empress so of course the one next in line has to take the throne. Being empress is a lot of work way more work then being just a normal

I grew up in a Spanish family my mother is Ecuadorian, and Columbian, while my father is Spanish, and Dominican although I can't speak Spanish that well my parents still think the proper way to speak to everyone here is in Spanish.

But, thank god im moving to New York to start my life. Although I'm only 16 the laws here for the royal family is when he or she turns 16 she has a right to finish school any place of her choice so I decided to go to Academy of art university one of the best fashion schools in New York I want to be a fashion designer when I grow up was always my dream to own my own clothing line.

"Thanks mom." I said closing my suitcase. "Well that's everything."

"Oh honey." My mom said hugging me tightly. I'm not going to lie I am going to miss my mother she's always been by my side since day 1 honestly I never met my father he stopped being in my life after I was 2, and that's another law those who abandon their own family must have their head on a platter which is true he was brutally killed after he decided to step out on me, and mom for another women.

" I really can't give out that information, but if you want to update your apartment room we can do that you, and her are actually the richest people here."

"Alright so you'll be on the third floor room 283 does that sometime your problem mr. Andrews?"

"Yeah it does thank you I'll be moving out in two days." I said as he nodded.

I honestly can't believe he gave that apartment to a girl when I saved that room two months ahead of time now he gave it to some random bitch. Crazy how I don't get any respect, and I'm well known in New York I swear when she lives here I'm going to make her very uncomfortable just cause of it .

"Please just call me aurora." I heard a women say I looked over the banelstol seeing my landlord, and some girl talking I'm assuming that's her she looks familiar like I actually seen her before. I pulled out a cigarette. She was pretty, but I couldn't see her from her distance I noticed she was coming closer so I backed up sitting on the floor pulling out my art book , and began working on my drawings.

"My apartment is to the left boys please be careful there glass in some of the boxes." She said she had a sultry voice which I found sexy to me she got movers helping her with her own apartment it's an apartment what she need movers to help her out for?

"Hey! Careful." I said getting up.

"What?" She said as I caught her and the vase she almost dropped. We locked eyes for a moment as I helped her up the steps.

"You need to be more careful dollface. Jesus this is yours? This is a one of a kind Leonardo de Vinci painting its worth millions where did you find something so beautiful?"

"My grandmother gave that to me as a gift from where she visited Italy in her time."

"It's beautiful." He said looking at me as I blushed.

"Would you... would you like to come inside for some lemonade?"

"Uh I really shouldn't I have some work to do maybe next time I could take you to dinner a pretty girl like yourself can't be alone in this type of town." I said grabbing her hand, and kissing it as she blushed.

"What's your name?" I asked as he stopped in his tracks.

"A mystery princess." I smirked .

"A mystery?" I said to myself. He was pretty cute more so a pretty boy if you asked me he was pretty tall , and lean he wasn't that muscular, but he a little something he had beautiful long brown hair, pretty green eyes, and he wore two hoop earrings which I thought was a little weird maybe that's the fashion since here in New York I so need to get hipped instead of wearing this expensive brands, and start wearing urban clothes like him.

I looked around I actually liked the way my apartment looked pretty girly just like me I smiled. But, my smile soon faded the moment I found out that my true identity is still their me being a princess I'm honestly surprised that man didn't know who I was I mean it's like I want him to know, but then again I don't, because I tell him who I was he probably won't even believe it or he could go around, and tell everybody, and possibly ruin my status I don't know maybe I'm overreacting I probably won't even run into him again like I did earlier today.

I sighed taking off my shoes walking on the hardwood floor I sighed plotting down on the couch as I heard a knock on my door I got up opening my door seeing him again.

"In fact I would like that drink." He smirked as I blushed.
