Castiel's POV
-' 👼 Dean's eyes were like glowing orbs in their sockets, a vibrant evergreen tree, stemming from his pupils. It was so hard to look away from them, the ray of sunlight casting perfectly over his face.
I gave him my usual, soft and slightly crooked smile. Dean, who was feeding a hangover grinned through a mouthful of pancakes. I tried not to stare, but shamelessly my eyes wandered down his toned body, teeth caught in the bottom of my lip.
The exposed skin caused a cloud of warmth to brush over my body, I was used to it by now, the feeling always came in the presence of Dean. It built up inside my stomach, blooming like a vibrant bouquet deep in my belly. It was hard to ignore, but easy to forget.
Both of us were silent, declining to speak first. The pads of the hunters fingertip slid along the back of my hand, causing my curious gaze to scatter towards the contact.
He had been very affectionate the past few weeks, almost like a couple. I couldn't put my finger on it, how suddenly our relationship had changed. Dean slipped around the corner, his eyes were piercing into my flesh, a look oddly similar to the way he looks at a nice slice of pie. As he drew closer his hands reaches toward my hips. My breath hitched, only for his hands to rest on either side of my body, grabbing the marble counter.
" You know I hate you right..?" Dean whispered against my ear, a loving coo in his tone.
" not nearly as much as I hate you." The close proximity causing a shiver to slip down my spine. " It's so hard to tolerate you."
It was like a little I love you, a small way to whisper our affections to each other. The closeness came to a stop, watching as the man pulled away. I resisted the urge to reach out to him, to pull him back to me.
" Hey, we're going on a hunt. Do you want to come? We could really use you." Dean offered, a puppy dog look on his face.
" Yes."
My reply was too quick, my tone too eager. I cursed myself for allowing the tone to leave my lips, and I hated it. Dean slowly leaned against the counter beside me, propping his elbows on the marble.
" What are we hunting?" I hummed, peering up at him curiously.
" We don't know. Sam found a report. Apparently this thing came out of nowhere, it was like a bear attack but.."
" Are you sure its supernatural?? I hummed, propping my chin on my hand.
" Bear attacks aren't very common in Chicago, especially in this capacity. " The Hunter took a bite of his food, offering a shrug. " Blood over the walls, doors locked, not something that happens everyday."
" Are you sure?"
" It doesn't hurt to check, right?" The Winchester brother looked up at me, his brow cocking.
We interrupted by Sam walking into the room, eyes fogged, shoulders slouched like he was undead. Not yet awake.
The young Winchester smiled lovingly at the two of us, which only made his sleepiness even more prominent. The way he lunged towards the coffee pot caused a giggle to leave my lips, and I took a long sip of my orange juice.
" Someone had a long night, huh Sammy?" Dean smirked, turning his body to lean forward on the counter.
" Shut up, Jerk. I was just researching." Sam retaliated, a whine stringing through every word.
" Research? I didn't know that was Gabriel's name, bitch."
The eyeroll emitting from Sam's being could be felt deep in the roots of where my wings should be. The eat shit grin on Dean's face was even more prominent.
