"I swear to god Jesper, if you make one more sound I am putting a bullet through your head" I whispered while looking at his face and saw him gulp as l threatened him. He nodded and looked back to the scene in front of him.

We were both crouched behind a table and looked around the room trying to find a black safe that was supposed to be here. The Boss specifically showed us the location of the safe in his blueprints however, I still couldn't see anything. Every other minute Jesper kept making some kind of sounds and it annoyed the hell out of me, not to forget it might even catch the attention of anyone in this room.

The moonlight was our only source of light and it bounced off the furniture in the room, giving us a slightly better view. I must admit whoever owned this had a very luxurious taste. The walls were decorated with abstract art pieces that you only find in museums. There were two Chesterfield sofas, a recliner and a lazy boy in the middle of the room.

The room had a small chandelier hanging of the roof (If having a chandelier in your room doesn't scream RICH, i don't know what will) and the walls had bookshelves that were filled with books. I wonder what type of books they might have though. Shaking the thought away I tried to focus on the job at hand.

I noticed a small black door at the back of the room. It was barely visible as it was cleverly faded into the wallpaper. We didn't really have a choice, the black safe that we were supposed to steal wasn't in this room. I tapped Jesper, my only other companion, and motioned for him to follow me.

He dipped his chin in acknowledgment and palmed both his knives. I clutched the gun in my hand and patted the silencer to assure myself and slowly started tip-toeing towards the door. I was having a bad feelong about this.

Jesper was trying his best to stay quiet but i could still hear him behind me. Stupid idiot, shouldn't have come with me. It wasn't his fault the boss sent him but that doesn't mean his presence was welcome.

I slowly turned the doorknob of the room and as I expected, it was locked. I handed my gun to Jesper and with the help of my lock-picks I made quick work of the lock. With a satisfying click the door opened. I pocketed my lock-pick kit and took my gun. I wanted to finish the job at hand as quickly as possible. This wasn't how I wanted to spend my last second day of Summer break.

I slowly creaked the door open and peeked inside. It was very unsual for this to happen. Whenever I broke into someone's property to steal there were usually a lot of guards or atleast a security system. However, we had to deal with only two bodyguards (who fell for drugged darts, phew I mean who is THAt naive) and the security system was mediocre at best.

Something wasn't adding up. It was almost as if the people who owned this place WANTED us to steal from them. I slowly entered the room squinting, this room did not even have any moonlight coming inside. I was halfway into the room when I montioned for Jesper to follow.

I looked around the room and found the black-safe. I quickly walked towards it and sat down to work on unlocking the safe when I heard a muffled sound behind me. I pocketed the picks and whipped around to find the source of the sound.

I almost scoffed at the sight of Jesper being held at gunpoint at the hands of his captivator. I mean I knew the dude was helpless but seriously though, couldn't he atleast defend himself. However the boss wouldn't be happy if he found his lackey dead so I raised my own gun and took aim.

"Don't even think about it sweetheart. This friend of your will be dead before you even pull the trigger" the guy said, with a smile in his voice. Wait, did I mention that he had a hood over his face.

"Keep talking and maybe you'll be the one that ends up with a bullet wound" I smirked putting my hand on the trigger. Suddenly the guy who held a gun to Jesper's head jammed the butt of his gun and Jesper fell unconcious on the floor. This happened so fast that I barely registered it.
