After I wake up all I can think about is how much I don't want to go to work. My name's Kevin, I work in tech support. You could say I just help old people find the power button and explain how blue wallpapers doesn't mean the computer is full of water.
I have kind of long blond hair and blue eyes I normally wear a long black jacket over my white T-shirt always in jeans even in the summer never wear shorts no matter how hot it gets. Most would consider me attractive, athletic, and good with technology... and yet I'm still single.
I pick up my keys, head down the hallway from my living room towards the front door. I noticed my welcome home sign is slightly titled so I straighten it, no one likes a titled fox.
After I walk out of my house I turn and lock the door. Then start walking down the street. I do have a blue car but it's only a twenty minute walk to my job and its out of gas anyways and going to fill it would be too much work, more than its worth. I don't actually use my car that much, all I really use it for is going out of town to visit family from time to time, I think I should just sell my car, after all, I can just bus out of town.
As I walk down the street I see a homeless man come up and ask me for money, as the very kind person I am I lie and tell him that I'm broke. When I think about it I'm nowhere near the kindest person you'll meet, that might be why I'm still single. I reach the lights so I press the button and wait. When the light turns green I try to cross but am cut of by a black car being cased by the police.
I get to the other side of the street and go inside the coffee shop for a coffee. After I leave I start drinking the coffee. I like to finish it before I get to work. After another ten minutes I reach my work and finish my coffee.
"Hey! Hey! HEY! Over here! Why you ignore me bro?!" Yelled a co-worker name David. I have no desire to talk to him but he always try's to talk to me anyway, his very being is a drag.
"What do you want?" I say in a very tired like tone.
"So you think we'll get promoted soon?" He asked trying to be serious but it's very clear he's holding back a smile.
"Just like I said yesterday it's unlikely. Now if you'll excuse me I have work to go to." I said as I started walking past him.
"Ha just like you! I've never met someone who loves work nearly as much as you." He said with a big smile on his face. I give a fake smile back then head up the stairs to my desk. Of course I don't like work at all, I tell him I love it so I can have a reason to leave his mind numbing conversation.
I sit down at my desk and pull up software for the company so I can update it. As I do this the phone starts ringing. So I pick up the phone since sadly that is also part of my job.
"Hello, is you fridge running." Asked the voice of what sounded like a ten year old boy.
"I don't have a fridge." I say with a slightly upset tone. The kid hangs up the phone without saying anything else. I then notice no one is looking so I decided to play games on my phone.
Its been four more hours of this so I can finally leave and go eat. I walk down the stairs and see David, he seems to be talking to a blonde lady with brown eyes and a scar through the left side of her mouth wearing a white shirt and jean jacket with a skirt.
"Aye! Kevin! Come over here she wants to meet you!" Yelled David from across the lobby. So of course I have no choice but to meet with him even though I can't think of anything I'd want to do less. He yelled as loud as he could so I can't pretend I didn't hear him since everyone is now staring. I'd much rather go eat by myself I have no real interest in meeting new people.
