I was still sitting on the couch when the Shipmaster walked back a few minutes after leaving. She stopped in front of me and motioned for me to get to my feet. I didn't hesitate to do as I grabbed my bag and hurried after her. She led me through the ship, a few other elites joining us and plowing a path for us through the crowded corridor. I looked back behind us to see the two other elites from before following close behind. I was about to ask something but they motioned for me to pay attention in front of me as we soon walked up to a door and it opened to reveal a dimly lit domed room. The elites that had escorted us came to stand guard at each side of the door and I was led into the room. The Shipmaster motioned for me to stay put by the door and I did so without objection, hugging my bag nervously as I looked around the massive room.

I watched as she went to the center of the room and she pressed a button on a podium next to her. There was a small pause of silence before holograms of the three prophets of the covenant winked into existence one by one in front of her, my back going rigid as I was likely the only living human to have seen the prophets in person.

Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Jackson go rigid in fear at what was happening, chuckling internally as I bowed my head to the hierarchs.

"Holy Prophets, I'm glad you were able to answer my call so suddenly," I said, keeping my head bowed to the three holograms.

"Shipmaster Suso 'Rahamai. What brings you before us?" The Prophet of Truth asked, only raising my head once I was addressed.

"I believe I may have found something to help us win this war with the humans." I said as I turned to where Jackson stood and motioned him to come over, the three Prophets watching on with confused expressions. He half jogged over, tripping over his feet as he came up a halt beside me.

"What is this heresy Shipmaster!?" The Prophet of Mercy said as he slammed is fist into the arm of his chair.

"Before you have me brought before the council, please at least let me explain." I said, putting a hand on the boy's shoulder.

The Prophets looked at each other for a moment before the Prophet of Truth said, "Proceed Shipmaster."

I nodded and proceeded to explain my findings and my plan for the boy.

As I stood next to the Shipmaster, I was in awe that I was being able to see the Prophets with my own eyes. They were talking in their native tongues but I didn't really care about that, all I cared about was that I wasn't dead yet. I was looking at the Prophet on the far right and when he looked at me, I quickly turned away and looked down.

"What you are saying is that we try to turn this young boy, one of the human demons at that, to our cause?" The Prophet of Mercy said as he looked at the boy.

I nodded my head and said, "I know it can happen. He already trusts me and I feel that if we improve and modify the enhancements in him using our own technology, we could have a very formidable soldier."

The Prophets looked at each other before the Prophet of Regret said, "We will discuss for a moment and tell you our decision after."

I bowed my head before the transmission ended. I relaxed a little and turned to the boy.

He looked up at me as he asked, "What did you talk about that concerned me?"

"Your future...." I said as I patted his shoulder reassuringly.

Time Skip (Suso 'Rahamai POV)

I was talking to Jackson when the holograms of the Prophets returned and the two of us turned to them and stood at attention. The Prophets looked at the boy, all of them chuckling at his actions.

"I have to admit, the child does know how to act..." The Prophet of Truth said before turning to me. "We have decided to let you try your little experiment but if it goes wrong, it will be your head on the ground."

I put my right hand on the left side of my chest and bowed my head to the Prophets, Jackson doing the same. I saw the Prophet of Truth smile slightly before the transmission ended.

"What now?" Jackson asked as he turned to look up at me.

"How would you feel about getting back at the people who took you from your home and family?" I asked him with a smile as I patted his head.

I looked at the Shipmaster with confusion as I said, "Wouldn't that be your kind?"

She shook her head and pulled out a datapad and gave it to me. I read through it and felt my rage boiling in me.

"This has to be a lie.... I'm an orphan! I was born on Sarella. My mom died giving birth to me and my dad died fighting insurgents!?" I said angrily, my knuckles turning white as I squeezed the datapad.

I felt something snap inside me and the data pad in my hands cracked before shattering. I heard a couple of the elites step forward and she lifted her hand to stop whomever was approaching.

"Look at me Jackson. I have not lied to you or put you in danger since you were brought onboard..... What the datapad says, well said, was true." The Shipmaster said as she looked at me dead on, her gaze serious and genuine.

I felt myself relax as I stared back at her, my rage subsiding as I realized that I held the shattered remains of the data pad in my hands. I instinctively dropped its remains in shock of what I had done, backing away in surprise of what I had done. I started apologizing over and over again as she placed a hand on my shoulder. I looked up at her and I saw concern in her gaze before the Shipmaster smiled as she squatted down before me.

"How about you use that anger to get revenge on the people that took you away from your family?" She suggested, my gaze moving to my hands as they soon turned into fists.

I looked back up at her, my steel will showing in my eyes as I met her gaze, "If it means getting to possibly see my family again, then yes...."

And there is Chapter three. Tried to flesh it out more but I think it was really only meant to be a short chapter.

Until later! Twizums!🤣😁
