8:Confrontation

It's been a month since Alex started dating Vlad Alucard, hence why he went by Al at first. From what I saw in how he interacted with everyone, Vlad was a cool dude, talking about adventures him and Alex had from back in the day. There was only one thing that bothered me about him, and it was his eyes. They were a shade of red that just wasn't natural. Alex tried to feed all of us the excuse of albinism, that he dyed his hair black, but I didn't by it. Mickie and Kyle loved him, saying he was the best thing for Alex. I was at home, enjoying the quiet sounds of Sinatra from my record player, when I got curious about Vlad. I went to type his last name in, when I noticed something. His name was odd. I carefully typed it out backwards and compared the names. What I got was scary, and damn near terrifying. 

Alucard backwards was Dracula. Alex was dating Vlad Dracula. 

I looked up Dracula in the search bar, and got tons of vampiric crap. It was the name of the main antagonist from Bram Stoker's classic. I started to dive even deeper down this crazy rabbit hole, and what I got was more terrifying and horrific than any horror movie. I saved every website into a folder on my browser, and packed up my laptop. I needed to tell Alex what I found, as well as the rest of the guys. I got Alex on the phone, and he picked up instantly. 

" Alex, are you home?" 

" Yeah, everyone is here. Vlad just took a plane home. What's up?" 

" I'm on my way over. I found something you need to see." 

" Oh, alright." 

I hung up and drove like mad to Alex's place, parking my car in his driveway. I grabbed my bag and ran up the stairs to his apartment and let myself in. 

" Connie, what's gotten into you? You look damn near rabid, girl." 

" Kyle, Mickie, Alex, I found out something that I want you all to know. I did a little research on Alex's new boyfriend, as a good friend should, and what I found is fucking scary."

I plugged my laptop into the HDMI cord attached to Alex's TV, and pulled up the folder, and started explaining what I had found. Kyle was giving me shit for it, but Alex and Mickie were strangely quiet. 

" Connie, sweetheart, I think you've done lost your mind." 

" Yeah, right. Like I'm going to believe that Alex is fucking a literal vampire, let alone a vampire older than all of us combined?! How loony are you? Did you start doing crack, like, what the actual fuck got this idea in your head?" 

" It started when I realized his name was very strange, so I messed around with the letters a small bit, and when I noticed it was Dracula backwards, I just fell down the rabbit hole. Come on! One of you guys has to believe me? Alex, you believe me don't you?" 

He got up, and took a huge shot of scotch, before sitting down and giving me a hard stare that made me very unnerved. I've seen him only use this gaze on my exes, and it was scary to be on the receiving end. He had the look of a practiced killer, like this look was practiced from years of use. 

" Connie, for your health and safety, drop this childish bullshit. Vlad is a very nice man from back when we-" 

" Oh drop this fucking charade! I know for a fact he is, and you can't lie to me! Allergic to sunlight and garlic? Really? Red eyes and fucking fangs? How stupid do you take me for Alexander?! What really happened to make you move here? Why were you two rivals for so long? What is ' the incident'?!"

" I don't have to explain shit to anybody! That is in the past, where it fucking belongs!" 

His voice was booming, and he was 6'9" with hands as big as my face. He could easy snap my neck, but I refused to be silenced.
