“No, stop waving your wand around like a maniac,” y/n frustratingly scolded Peter. Over the course of the past few weeks, the girl has decided to aid him in his magic abilities; helping learn spells that he could seemingly never grasp a hold of.
“Ow!” The girl held her hand up to her eye.
Helping him sure seems to cause a sudden plummet in her mood. Not because of him though, but rather two annoying pests that seemed to always be with him.
“Nice one Peter.” James praised the guilty looking first year. He and Sirius sat a few meters away from the duo, discussing new pranks to pull while occasionally asking Peter and Remus for their input.
“I’m so sorry.” Peter muttered to the pained girl as she vigorously rubbed her eye before hesitantly opening it.
“Okay, I can not do this anymore, we are done for today,” Y/n abruptly stood up, packing her things - a wand and textbook.
“Wait! I’ll see you next week, right?” Peter called, thinking that he might have scared her off for good.
“Yeah,” the girl answered nonchalantly as her focus was now diverted to finding her best friend.
Peter burrowed his face in his hands."Oh Merlin, she definitely hates me!"
"Yeah probably," Sirius spoke. "But that isn't necessarily a bad thing. At least we won't have to see her."
"Y'know, I just noticed something," James cut in. "That your robe is inside out?" Remus questioned. "Wait what?!" James jumped off the library table and glanced at the Gryffindor emblem that looked odd and not as vibrant. "You're telling me this now! I've been walking around like an idiot all day!"
Remus flipped a page in his book. "You always look like an idiot."
While James was busy flipping his robe, Sirius was laughing historically. He wished Remus hadn't mentioned anything since he enjoyed seeing the weird looks his best friend received.
James clapped his hands together after finishing. "Okay let's get back on track. L/n and Evans have never been in detention, and in my opinion, that isn't very fair now."
"How is that not fair? It's not like they do anything bad." Peter said from a few feet away.
Sirius crossed his arms. "We don't do anything too bad either but we get detention almost everyday. Stupid Evans and L/n, definitely teachers pets."
"Right…." Remus muttered. "Well as much as I would love to be a part of your prank, I sadly can't make it. My mother has come down with some sort of sickness."
"Don't tell me you'll miss the quidditch tryouts!" James yelled.
"Don't worry, I'll be there to watch you and Sirius."
"Good, you'll be able to see me completely crush the competition."
"I heard Y/n will be trying out too. Not sure what position though, she's very indecisive." Peter mumbled.
"Pffff," Sirius laughed. "Well whatever it'll be, she'll definitely suck at it."
"I wonder if Evans will be trying out as well. It's like those two do everything together. Wherever one is, the other one will always be nearby. It's terrifying!" James exclaimed. "But anyways, let's focus on the task at hand - get L/n and Evans in detention. Any ideas?"
Sirus smirked. "It's not the best, nor very creative, but this should work."

"Today we will be learning how to turn glass into sand. This spell requires a ton of concentration - Potter!" Mcgonagall's voice boomed across the classroom.
"What is so funny?"
"I am so sorry miss, it was nothing. Please continue."
'Strange. He's never this polite.' Y/n thought, alarmed.
At this point in class. James and Sirius - sometimes Remus and Peter - would be causing havoc in the classroom. Whether it be casting random spells or yelling obnoxious jokes. It was simply never this quiet.
And as class continued on, the girl became more and more suspicious. The smug looks James and Sirius kept giving her and Lily left her feeling unnerved.
Choosing to ignore their antics, she focused on the spell, just like Mcgonagall said to do. She pointed her wand at the small glass goblet and was about to say the incantation until something interrupted her. A piece of paper laid upon the surface of her desk.
Y/n picked up the note and inspected it. Lily was written on the back of it.
She unfolded it and was faced with the words, "They look like they're planning something". Her mind immediately went to Sirius and James. 'So Lily noticed something too?'
"Mcgonagall look!" Came the sudden voice of James Potter.
"Evans and L/n are passing notes to each other," Sirius pointed while snickering, knowing well that Mcgonall was against such things.
From a few desks away, Lily's face twisted into confusion.
"They're lying. It's obviously one of their pathetic schemes." The red-head stated.
James picked up the paper. "I don't think so. This clearly has your name on it."
"Lily and I never pass notes so why would we start now." Y/n backed up.
Sirius snatched the paper from James' hand and read it. "You think we're up to something? How dare you accuse us of such things!" Sirius gasped and put his hand on his chest in an upsetting manner.
"Can you blame us. You've both been out for us since the beginning." Y/n shouted, annoyed.
"All of you quiet," Mcgonagall said sternly. "I will see the four of you for detention at 6:00 pm - sharp."
Words of protest came from the students. "Wait." "But-." Please Listen." It wasn't us."
"Silence all of you. Not a word from any of you for the rest of the lesson."
'Great,' y/n thought. Having to spend extra time with the two people she hates most.
Not edited. I would make this longer but my wifi is about to get cut off and I'm very eager to post this chapter 👾
