Mario And The Fear

Mario sang and cradled Meggy in his arms, as he sang his enchanting lullaby.

Mario: Destiny was close behind him... Phantom of borrowed life... And the sea was a reminder... Mirror of given light.

Mario walked to a lake with the moon gently glowing on its surface. The water reflecting in Mario's eyes and Meggy's tears. He walked in scaring everyone, but then he stayed on top seemingly walking on water. Mario leaped and danced, creating tiny waves and ripples in the water. He looked at Meggy and saw the moonlight glowing on her scared face.

Mario: Then one day... The sign he'd waited for in skies of grey... Traversed a winding road and came his way... He found the love he hoped he would...

Mario gently smiled at Meggy, who stopped crying upon finally hearing Mario's voice she leaned against his chest and listened to his soothing heartbeat. Mario gently kissed her on the head and continued his moonlit water dance.

Mario: But he knew... That he had promises to stay true to... The dormant son of the silver moon... Then all at once he understood.

As Mario danced on the water the moon shone on the duo, acting like a stage light, Smg4 came after carrying Tari while Luigi was holding Saiko.

Smg4 walked up to Mario while holding Tari in his arms.

Smg4: Nice night huh Mario?

Mario: Yes! I'm in love with Meggy... She's beautiful, sweet, kind and cute, there's about a million other words I could use to describe my love for Meggy.

Smg4: Oh trust me! The words you've used would be a sentence on their own. You could write a whole paragraph with the amount of words you use to describe all the love you have for Meggy, heck maybe even a whole book.

Mario: I highly-a doubt that one, but you're funny glitchy.

Mario giggled at Smg4's joke, Mario's attention was reverted back to Meggy when he felt some dampness on his chest. She was hiccuping and her sniffles were softer, but she was still visibly upset. Mario continued the song, dancing along the water.

Mario: From the sky... He watched the life he'd known he would leave behind... From the sky... He gave his people life through his sacrifice...

Meggy was still crying but it was less, so he sang her "hush little baby".

Mario: Hush little Meggy don't say a word... Mario's gonna show you the evening star... And when the evening star falls away... Mario's gonna give you a special night... And when the night comes to an end... Mario will give you a kiss and hug... And when I'm finished loving you... I'm gonna show the full silver moon...

And when the moon fades behind the clouds... Me and you are going to lie in bed... And when you get a nightmare... Mario is gonna give you a lullaby... And when the lullaby has ended... Mario's going to lie by you... And if you smile in your dreams... I will still love you dear.

Meggy opened her eyes and stared at Mario who smiled back. Meggy leaned closer feeling his heartbeat, then she turned her gaze to the moon.

Mario: That's-a my baby girl... Just lean in and trust me.

Meggy: Mario.... You won't commit suicide on me will you?

Mario: Heck no! Why would I do that?

Meggy: Because I saw you hang yourself, and it scared me.
