She was so beautiful. The most beautiful girl I'd ever seen. The thing was, she's so broken you could see it in her eyes, through her fake smiles and attempts to seem perfectly fine. I could see right through her, I knew her too well, loved her too much. I walked up to her and put my arm around her shoulders and kissed her forehead.
"Hey beautiful" I smiled down at her as she smiled up at me, blushing.
"Hey" She snuggled into my chest the way she always did, making my heart melt. I zoned out as she started talking to her friends again about where we were going to hang out after school. In all honesty I was just ready for the aftermath, when we were alone, cuddled up in my bed, talking about the future we had planned together. She was my everything and I loved everything about her.
"Babe." She said trying to get my attention. "We're going to the mall and then Starbucks."
"Oh okay, that's fine with me" I smiled and she giggled at me. Probably because I spaced out, she always thought that was funny. We all got up and left to our cars as last bell rang to signal the end of the school day.
