"Mr president Bryan Tarisai is here to see you",Maxwell's secretary announced. Walter Tarisai had asked Maxwell to let his son work for him. He didn't see any reason to turn him down. After all he had watched the lad grow. He was a fine young man who worked hard. Surely it wasn't a secret that Bryan was an adopted child. Maxwell had seen how loyal he was to his foster father. It would be an advantage to have someone as loyal as he in the statehouse.
"It's the least I can do for him your excellency. My Bryan has always wanted to work for you. It was his dream ever since he was a kid".Walter had pleaded. And so Maxwell agreed.
"Let him in", Maxwell replied.
Bryan entered the president's office in his well tailored suit. Maxwell looked at the young lad before him. For once in his life he wished he had a son. Someone to tell his problems to.
"Good day sir",Bryan greeted bowing slightly. Instead of answering, the president looked carefully at Bryan. He was a fine man indeed. For once in his life he envied his deputy president. He had a good son. Only if...just only if he also had one to call a son.
"Sir...?",Bryan said again bringing Maxwell back to earth.
"How are you son?", Maxwell greeted and Bryan smiled. For once in his life he had let out a genuine smile. Noone has ever called him son. Son.....he almost jumped with happiness. He was used to being called...fool...idiot... dog. And here he is standing before a powerful man and he had called him son. Do you hear?...he called him son!!
"I'm fine thank you sir", he replied as he shook Maxwell's hand in a formal way.
"Well Bryan I'm sorry but your job starts now...I want you to help me escape without being seen. I want to go somewhere....with you",Maxwell told Bryan. The president did not know why or how it happened but he just felt like he'd trust this young man. He was...trustable.
Bryan nodded his head in agreement. His job starts now. He was going to prove himself worthy. He wasn't a dog. This man has proved him today that he wasn't a dog. He was a human being. He was...a son!

Faith ran as fast as she could. She needed to get to the hospital . Her grandma was waiting for her. The traffic jam was not helping. She brought her grandma to the hospital in the morning. She had fainted. She couldn't understand what the doctors said. She had high blood pressure what what. She wasn't sure what she was feeling. All she knew is that she had to live. She can't let her die. This woman...she stood by her mother's side and she raised her. She owed her life to this woman.
Don't let her die...she kept on praying.
Just when she was about to cross the road she heard a car hooter and she fell on the hard tar then she raised her head . She saw a car just a mare inch from her. God.... she was almost hit by a car. She closed her eyes tightly. She could have been hospitalised or worse...she could have died. Where was her brain? She was thinking about reaching her grandma. And she forgot she was crossing the road. She stood up and she looked at the car. It's like this is her first time seeing a car as beautiful as this. Then a young man in a suit got out of the car. She expected the worst for his face was void of any emotion. He looked like a cold hard stone. She expected to be scolded...to be told the worst but instead she was shocked to hear a soft smooth manly voice.
"Are you okay miss?",he asked trying to touch her arm. She removed her arm from his grip as soon as he touched her and shyly looked away. She then replied , "I'm fine thank you sir...I'm sorry I wasn't looking. My mind was elsewhere", she was trying to explain.
"It's okay....", The man replied with an assuring smile.
"I got to go then, thank you again", Faith said as she marched off quickly gathering her paper bag with her granny's food.
