I sat perched on the stone pavement the light steady rain flowing from the velvet lead coloured sky above. My mind was clear like that of the water droplets running down to the tip of my nose. The world around me was silent as if admiring the refinement of nature, the only sound detectable was that of the delicate weather and my light breathing. I sat only in a now dampened dress my once brown hair now turning ink black. Then I heard him call my name. I turn my gaze the droplets rolling down my now elated face. He walked towards me, a slate grey umbrella mirroring the sombre sky above leant against his shoulder. He sat next to me placing the umbrella above us as I lay my head on his shoulder. I look up to face him admiring his eyes. His eyes were grey but not the type of shade that could be portrayed with words. They would never be able to capture the intricacy and allurement that his eyes possess. They were a shade that flirted the line between ash and lead, a sooty grey tinged with blue almost like gunmetal. A delicate smiled adorned his face as I laced my fingers between his lifting him up my hand now on his shoulders, his hands around my waist. We moved gradually the pouring rain now going overlooked my gaze, my focus, my love fixed purely on him. I placed my head upon his shoulders closing the distance between us as we continue to sway. I seperate for a moment to percieve what was happening before he hushed my mind by placing a soft kiss on my now icy lips. I smile at his smile warmth returning to my cheeks then I go back to holding him closer to me.
