The Aftermath: Bede x Reader

My heart stopped dead. My biological parents were arrested for what they did to me, got what they deserved. What's worrying me more is that their release date is today, it fact I stayed up all night worrying about it. Will they come and get me? Team up with Rose? They are rich so maybe they will hire an assassin to...?
Filling my bowl full of cereal, I could sense that I was going to cry. Bede had to attend a gym challenge meeting, and he didn't want me coming with him for my safety. Of course I understood, but am I really safe, hidden away, here?
Bede didn't return for another few hours, but when he did, his face was a ghastly pale, as he immediately ran into my arms and told me everything that he had experienced.
"My biological parents came to your meeting, uninvited, and demanded you all to tell them where I was?"
Bede nodded, slowly.
"They only got off with a WARNING?"
Bede nods slowly, again.
"People don't know what real danger is these days."
Bede then shows me his wrist. That's when it hit me.
They had injured him even further.
Now his whole arm was broken.
And it was my fault for not being there for him.
"That's it. I'm learning self defence and taking both of them down." I hit my hand hard against the wall. "Those idiots, if they mess with you, Bede, they are messing with me."
"Is self defence totally necessary? I understand why you want to learn it but maybe if you get some more Pokemon on your team you could possible take them down that way." Bede points out. "If you were to attack them, then you would be just as bad as them."
"I'm going to the Wild Area, in disguise of course." I say whilst I grab a wig, pair of glasses and a dress from Circhester that I'd bought last week.
"Expect me back in a week."
Then I go up to Bede and pull his head opposite mine, and give him a passionate kiss.
"I love you. I would ask you to come with me, but you have your Gym Leader responsibilities so I know you have to do them. I know this is stupid of me, but... I'm doing this so I can stand on my own two feet now. No more letting you protect me all the time!" I say whilst letting out a chuckle. "When I have a Gigamantax Pokemon, just like your Hatterene, and a full team of 6, I will be strong, stronger than the Chairman, the Champion, even you."
Bede's mouth forms into a smile, and with eyes making contact, his right and my left hand interlocked, we pulled ourselves into one last, long kiss for what might be months.
This was the hardest choice of my life.
