Silence.

I stood at the grave and placed down the flowers me and Bede had handpicked ourselves. They consisted of numerous purple flowers and a beautiful pink ribbon.
A few days had past since the incident at the hospital and Opal leaving us. It was a painful experience, but we managed to get through it. Well I did at least.
Bede is still the gym leader, despite his injury. It came to my mind that if I offered to temporarily be gym leader, Bede would be able to rest but he said he was fine.
I was walking back from Hammerlocke to Ballonlea when an idea suddenly crossed my mind. I know it was crazy but it might just work.
I dropped in at the Stow-On-Side gym on the way back and requested to see Bea and Allister.
"You want us to throw a party?" Bea looked at me confused.
I nod, and then go on to explain that we never properly celebrated all Opal did for us and that Bede needed cheering up.
"Lots of people... How frightening..." I heard Allister mutter quietly.
"Don't worry, it's only the Gym Leaders and myself." I smile at the boy, and I turn back to Bea. "Consider this a way of me caring." Bea agrees and asks me to go and ask the other gym leaders if they would come at the date she selected.
Over the next few days, I went from Gym to Gym, and everyone agreed to come. I kept it secret from Bede because I thought it'd be the best way to cheer him up.
He has been doing exhibition matches and at the end of each, regardless of who won, he kept the same straight face and shook their hand.
He was broken, and I was going to be the one to fix him.
I was just worried about Rose. He only had a few days in jail and he is now back out again. I have to watch out so I called up Marine and asked her to do most of the work, for my safety. Luckily she agreed and when she came over, I made sure Bede wasn't anywhere near us.
We worked like this until the end of the week.
"Where are we going, Y/N?" Bede tried to put on his dark pink coat but due to his broken wrist, he couldn't.
"You will see." I chuckle and help him put on his coat, and then lightly kiss him on the cheek. "We need to get going, Eevee!" I recall my Pokemon. "This is risky, so we are staying the night at Bea and Allister's place." I mumble to my Eevee.
When we get there, I blindfold Bede and guide him to the Gym, quickly.
When we get there, I slowly remove the blindfold and we are greeted by not only the Gym Leaders, but Hop and Gloria as well.
"Hey! Long time no see!" I smile at them both.
Bede just gives Hop this look, which I catch in the corner of my eye. I look at Bede and take him to the side.
"Why is he here?" Bede angrily asks me.
"I know you hate Hop, but he really cares about you, just like I do. He wanted to show his support that he is on your side throughout this fight."
I pull Bede into a hug, keeping in mind that his left wrist is broken. And then we look into each other's eyes.
"Bede, you know I love you, right?" I start to blush.
Bede's mouth forms into a small smile. "Of course I do." He chuckles. I feel his nose against mine. He does make me feel safe and appreciated.
"Seems like you cheered up." I giggle and pull him into a kiss.
"Awww, they look so cute together." I hear Gloria say to Hop.
"It's time for a champion time!" I hear the former champion has arrived.
"Leon, you dumb human, you aren't the champion anymore." Sonia, or should I say Professor Sonia, laughs.
"You all made it." Bea grinned. "This wasn't even our idea!"
Me and Bede broke free of the kiss and I started laughing. I noticed Bede was happier and so we all cracked a few jokes before I made a speech.
"Thanks for coming everyone." I glance at the small group of close friends. "Now, as you all know, we lost Opal last week... and Rose tried to burn..." I turn around to see Bede is holding my hand with his right hand.
"You can do this." He whispered in my ear like a calm wind.
Taking a deep breath, I continue.
"Rose attacked me, and Bede risked his life to save the human that is myself, so I thought we would throw a party in memory of Opal and to celebrate Bede's bravery."
Then Bede placed his right hand on my cheek and gazed into my eyes. I noticed his face was giving me the impression he was saying "thank you."
