It's Independence day and (y/n) is happy and excited for the barbecue her family is having. Tom and his parents were over visiting (y/n)'s family. (Y/n) set up the house for the barbecue and her friends came over and had a great time. They played with water balloons while the adults were talking and patriotic music was playing in the yard. Tom was a bit culture shocked, seeing all the American flags and red solo cups everywhere. "What's with the all the red solo cups?" Asked Tom confused. "They are used at parties, especially college parties", said (y/n). Then the song "My Country Tis of Thee" started playing. "That is the same tune as God save the Queen" Tom stated confused.  You and your friends do the "Pledge of Allegiance". Tom was surpised when he saw a 5 year old do the pledge, and (y/n) explains that Americans learn it from a very young age at school. Dominic and Nikki enjoyed the party chatting with the other parents. Dominic ended up doing some funny stand up comedy for the parents, who all laughed at his stand up. That night, you guys have fun dancing and playing games and watching the neighbors' illegal fireworks.
