I got real lucky. Real, real lucky. I won big on a lottery ticket. BIG BIG BIG. Big enough that I wouldn't have to work another day in my life if I didn't want to. Lucky as well that I'm only 22.
I decided to pay off my parents house and buy them new vehicles. They both deserve it considering all they have done for me. My plans were to move out of state and still find work. I'd probably be bored after a time. Mom and dad didn't want to leave home although my older brother did. No one really else knew besides us. I figured it would be best to get out of our home state. I bought us a house in Orlando, Florida. I loved that it was close to the major theme parks.
I'm hoping that I could be able to get in the Disney imagineering program. I'd love to work and make such great things as some of them truly have. I planned on keeping my fortune quiet so they wouldn't know. My brother wants to follow in my footsteps too.
We lived in a nice, gated community. My neighbors were mostly successful businessmen, doctors, plastic surgeons, ect. Most would probably be annoyed to have a young adult living next to them like that.
I bought a doorbell for the house that is pretty neat. I can pull up an app on my phone and see who is at the door.
We decided to celebrate us moving out by eating at a restaurant called Ohana. We went and got some groceries and headed back to our pad. It was getting late. We were starting to push midnight by the time it happened.
I jumped in the salt water pool while my brother was grabbing us a bowl of ice cream and some drinks. I heard my phone ding. I figured it was mom and dad trying to check in. But it was the doorbell app I had.
Maybe a neighbor saying hello?
It wasnt. Whatever it was wore a purple robe. It had to be at least 6'7 and had a hunched back. It's eyes were red. Pasty, white skin and bald. I didn't have a good feeling.
I sprinted back in the house and noticed my brother was walking towards the door.
"Jack. Don't answer that!!!!"
I tackled him to the ground as it no longer was a ring but loud knocks. Knocks like when you're locked out and demand entrance.
"What the Hell dude? I spilled my beer!"
"Look!" I held the phone in front of his face.
He looked like he seen a ghost. The thing looked more angry and impatient.
"What are we gonna do?"
"Just ignore it. Whatever is is will hopefully leave."
It knocked a good thirty minutes. But eventually it stopped and my app showed nothing.
I laid in bed and worried about it coming back. I did spend a lot of money coming up here and on this house. What if that thing comes every night? What if the neighbors know about it? What if the neighbors don't know about it? I gotta tell them. I don't have any of their phone numbers. Maybe if I call the HOA number I will get out a warning. What if they don't believe me? Apparently Jack called and cops did a ride through but didn't see anything.
...I was too late...
I woke up around 3 a.m. and seen red lights pulling up to the house next to mine.
An ambulance was pushing out a body bag on a stretcher. An old woman came out sobbing and dropped to her knees. A detective was putting out numbered cards. The neighborhood was slowly being swarned by those curious.
I myself felt so scared to leave the house. But I walked out. It felt like nothing was gonna get me now.
The old woman sobbing to an officer squatting next to her.
"Harold kept hearing the knocking at our door. He grabbed his golf club and wanted to see what was going on. This is supposed to be a good neighborhood. I called as quick as I could have."
He was a retired pharmacist. Other neighbors cried and one reached down to hug her.
For those who are reading, I don't know if it's still in Orlando. Or if that's its onky location. I don't know if it's going to another town, another state, or even another country. But I recommend this.
Get a camera for your porch or a doorbell where you can see who's there. Don't answer if it's this creature
