As I made my way back from school, I stopped by the drug store to get something's I needed.
After I purchased the items, I began walking home again. Only to stop dead in my tracks to see a gang of guys ahead. I recognized them. They had a reputation, they weren't just some random gang.
My heart began to race but for some reason I began to walk again. It was too late for me to cross the road because they saw me and made it pretty obvious that I was scared.
"Hello little girl" A man with a dry, raspy voice began to speak.
I ignored him and continued to walk, until a much tanner man stood in front of me.
"What you got the bag lady?"
"N-nothing." I began to get real nervous.
"C'mon beautiful, tell us what you have in the bag. Maybe you could even tell us what you got in that purse you got there?" He smirked.
"Just please leave me alone."
"We don't like seeing pretty girls alone." The man with the raspy voice added.
"C'mon now, don't be a be a bitch." Another man yelled.
I had nothing else to do. I panicked, so I spat in his face and made a run for it. I could here the rest of the guys running after me. I cried as I ran down the sidewalk, there was no one in sight to help me.
I couldn't just run back home because then they would know where I lived, so I made a turn down this road, completely losing off track from home. I turned back and they were far so I ran into the alley and hid behind this dumpster.
I was breathing heavily so I put my hand over my mouth as I heard them running. Luckily they didn't see me run in here so they continued to run, passing me. I gave it about 20 minutes until I could go out, but I just couldn't find the strength to get up. I brought my knees up to my chest and sobbed hard.
I finally picked myself up, using my hands for balance. I felt a sharp pain in my hand and weeped. Blood was gushing down my arm as the blood flowed out of the cuts in my hands and I noticed there was glasses sticking out of my wound. There was glass on the ground and I cut myself with it.
"Perfect. Just perfect." I mumbled.
I didn't have anything to clean it with so I took off the scarf I was wearing and wrapped it around my right hand that had been effected more.
The blood was bleeding through so I had to make it home quicker.
Once I reached my house I ran inside, ignoring my mother as she yelled at me for being late. Once she noticed all the blood, she gasp and took me into the washroom.
"What the hell happened?"
"There was glass." I simply said.
"And how the the world did you mange to-"
"I fell," I lied.
"We need to get you stitches, the wound is to deep. C'mon."
When she said "C'mon" I couldn't help but think of those men. I shivered by the thought of it.

"That's a pretty deep wound but you'll be okay." The doctor smiled and explained that in a number of days I need to come back to get it checked.
Mother and I made our way to the car. She started the car and we drove off.
"What the hell Rose? What actually happened?"
"Nothing" I mumbled softly.
