I let her hit the ground, harder than I meant to but it didn't matter anyway she was gone. I looked down at my bloodstained hands, I didn't even remember how I got here or what happened. All I know is my sister is dead and there's nothing I could do. I bent down to give her one last kiss on the forehead, but something grabbed me.
I woke up tears blurring my eyes. "It was just a dream." I whispered to myself. I knew it wasn't true, I knew it was never just a dream, but this time I wasn't going to let it play out that way. I was going to change it.
I jumped out of bed and threw on my shoes. I didn't know what I was going to do yet, but I knew where I was going and that's all I really needed.
I ran downstairs still in my pajama pants and the Supernatural t-shirt I wore the day before. I headed straight for the door but tripped before I got there. It was my brother. "Owwww. What are you in such a rush for. It's 8:00 am you're a sixteen year old boy you aren't even supposed to be a awake right now.
"Where's Emily?" I asked quickly picking myself off the ground.
"Outside playing why?"
I didn't give him an answer I just ran.
I was at the park in about two minutes. Maybe I still had time, I scanned the equipment an baseball field looking for the bleach blond hair that would signify my little sister.
Then I heard it, I didn't know what exactly it was. A screech, a bang, I think I heard a scream too. It didn't matter though I was off in that direction faster than I had ever moved before. How could I be so stupid, she was at her friend Sarah's house the whole time and I had ran right past it.
I couldn't have run past this though. There in the middle of Sarah's yard was my sister. I didn't make it. How could I have been so stupid. My little sister was dead and it was all my fault.
I ran to her and pulled her body away from the car. Checking for a pulse, checking for anything that told she was still alive. There was nothing, no heartbeat, no breath, no movement, no life. She was gone.
I had to change something just to prove I could. With tears my shirt I gave her one last kiss on the forehead and sat her down slowly this time into the grass. That when someone grabbed me.Okay so this is my first try at writing I'm not very good so don't criticize to harshly but I would like some tips on what to do to make it better and please continue to read thanks
