"Wait here I have someone you need to talk to.", Gabe said as he walked down a long hall.
He had taken me down some stairs in the back of the church and now I was in a comfortable living room type area. There was even a T.V. Though it just seemed to be playing different news channels.
I sat down on the black leather couch across from the T.V. and tried to see what was going on. There were a lot of screens moving at once, but I caught a few things. Like my sisters death.
"You okay?", Gabe asked as he walked in. "There's someone you need to talk to."
Then someone walked out of the hall behind him. "Hi Aiden my name is-", before he could finish his scent emcee I cut him off.
"Caleb."
I expected him to be more surprised but he just smiled at me. "Ya that's it. So um I don't assume Gabe told you much?"
"Uhhh not really?"
"So uhhh I guess the most basic way to tell you this is we're angels."
I didn't exactly know what to say so I felt if I stayed quiet he'd keep talking.
"Well basically, fallen angels. Reincarnated. This is our 'punishment' we protect people. Sometimes all people, sometimes certain people."
I started to laugh a little because it was one of the most ridiculous things I've ever heard so I thought he was joking. His face stayed completely serious though.
"Listen, uhhh Caleb I've done some nice things in my life, but I'm definitely not an angel."
"It's not like that, we were sent here because we weren't angel like. We were seen as bad in heaven so we were sent here to serve some time." He paused waiting for me to say something else but I never did so he kept going. "You have a gift, and I need to know what that is, so we can find your place."
"What do you mean my place?"
"Everyone of us has a special 'gift' and what we do here on earth all depends on what exactly that is."
"I dream.", he looked at me really confused so I elaborated further. "Like the future."
"So like what you see the future in your dreams?"
"Exactly."
"I think you're going to be with the prophets basically they stay here and hang out. Train and do whatever until someone needs help or they see something."
"Why are you talking to my boyfriend.", said a guy walking out of the hallway. He walked over to Caleb and put his hands on Caleb's shoulders.
"I'm joking.", he said with a laugh.
"Where's he going?"
"Prophets.",the guy looked at me questioningly.
